I can feel myself slowly starting to heal because of the Hellercon Cockles panel. This is all we asked for. Let these men talk about this scene as they should. All normal and emotional. That was one of the greatest cons of our fandom life.

The Fall (Part 1) - 2024
Inspired by the painting The Fall by Alan Stephens Foster. This one is called "Part 1" because I did two versions. As I couldn't decide which one to post, I'll post the two of them this week ("Part 2" will be uploaded this Saturday).

Never mind. I’ll be his father. And you’re his mother. And then goes on the run with her. I WOULD have them kiss chastely (she’s pregnant and this is the cw) and say some teary lines about enjoying the limited time they have together. I didn’t know your mother very long but I loved her the entire time I knew her. Etc. but instead she full names him till the end and he very much serves woman’s gay friend who she makes come with her to the car dealership so she doesn’t get scammed because her husband is busy and would be jealous if she did that with a straight man

While Misha and Jensen were doing Cockles, we were being hinting/baiting by Destiel. But, while we were cultivating Deancas, we lost precious footage of Jenmish being super gay, because they knew that that footage would never reach our eyes.

Forgive me if this doesn't make sense but
Dean understands himself. He is not drowning in internalized homophobia. He doesn't not know that he's into men. What Dean is, however, is a liar. He lies to everyone, all the time. I think this touches on the queer experience in a way we dont always see in media. We always talk about coming out and coming out scenes but why never talk about why we come out. It's because of how difficult the lying is. But deans lied about everything, all his life. Not just about his sexuality, or things related to hunting. But he lies (directly or by ommission) about the music he likes, the clothes he likes, literally everything, just to fit into this box of what everyone expects him to be. He understands himself, you just don't have the critical thinking skills to see past his lies, you take his word at face value even though the show has told you repeatedly that dean is a liar
