I drew the characters from the Lorax movie in my own art style instead of Illumination’s while also practicing drawing backgrounds. I think it turned out great. I think Once still looks like himself which was important to me and I think pipsqueak looks so adorable. I think the sleepy little Lorax looks so cute too.
The idea behind this drawing was basically “if Once-ler’s family never showed up”. He didn’t start chopping trees down again until his mom made him so if they never showed up he probably would have just lived a peaceful life with the animals and the Lorax, selling thneeds at a lower rate.
