Just completely bored my coworker to death by rattling on about horror movies and the Silent Hill games for almost an hour. She left the room and will probably never talk to me again.

Welcome

I just realized that this will be my 200th post on here and I've never really written a proper intro. I suppose it's the perfect time since I've gained a few new followers.

Here are some random facts about me.

• I live in the Midwest with one of the worst climates on the planet. Disgustingly hot and humid summers contrasted by the bitter cold and blizzards of winter. I grew up here, but I don't think I will ever get used to the extremes.

• I'm a bit older than you might think I am. I tend to surprise people I meet in real life with my age. I find the lower guesses flattering, but I'm not ashamed of the real number. I feel like I've done a lot of growing up over the past several years and my age reflects that.

• I finished college with a BA in Classics, but the career path I've chosen is leading me in a very different direction. Right now, I'm a 3rd shift Residential Coordinator at the local domestic violence shelter. With the difficult hours and the low pay, I likely won't be there forever, but I would like to remain in the human services field wherever I go next.

• I've been married for almost 2 years. My husband and I live in our little apartment with our 2 cats, Jackie and the Bubby.

• Outside of work and married life, I'm obsessed with video games. Aside from old-school Nintendo, the Bioshock, Silent Hill, and God of War franchises take up a large portion of my game collection.

• I believe the Beatles to have been the best band to ever exist, flanked very closely by Led Zeppelin and Nirvana. Music is one of the greatest pleasures in life and I could go on about it for hours.

• I absolutely love violent thunderstorms.

• My wardrobe consists mainly of the colors black, gray, and olive green.

• I've been told I have a quirky sense of humor. It might be a bit too dark for some.
