Stranger Things S04E06: The Dive
There’s nothing for you back there.
Inktober 6: I’d like to think the boys let Eleven join their D&D sessions. So we have the Paladin vs. the Demigorgon.
I love settings like Hunter the Vigil, The Secret World, and Stranger Things. They’re set on modern Earth, and makes it easy to imagine, especially at night or in liminal places, that one push into the dark is all it would take to come face to face with the forces that work behind the curtain.
And the protagonists, more often than not, are just ordinary people who find themselves stepping on the toes of nightmares, but eventually rise to the occasion through effort and sacrifice.
They’re also settings where a Paladin could provide some much needed relief with a well timed smite and positive encouragement. If I ever get the know how on how to make a good paladin homebrew for Hunter or any WOD game, I’ll do it.
