I had initially assumed that the Hades designers put Hecate in a pointed hat simply as an anachronistic shorthand to tell us she was a witch...

But then I came across these images of Tanagra figurines!

And though not as blatantly witchy as Hecate's getup, the hat + veil combo is too similar to be a coincidence. I wouldn't be surprised if the Hades designers saw them and went "That's it. That's the look." when designing Hecate. What do you think?

Melinoe calls Hecate headmistress... And they've said it's a sequel. So I'd like to think that Zag knows he has a sister, that he actually spent an unusual amount of time at home babysitting like a totally smitten big brother. And then eventually Melinoe was sent to magic boarding school. Whatever went wrong must have happened just before they sent her, or during her stay there.

That's my headcanon to justify Zag flying baby Melinoe over his head while running down the halls full speed.

I'm imagining Melinoe getting letters from Zagreus delivered by Hermes or Charon.
