A lot of people on here salty about this or that DNC speaker or message need to consider that there is a reason the DNC is not appealing to you and what you want specifically

I don’t get the whining about Republicans at the DNC. You guys really can’t get the point of being able to say “this other guy is such a tyrant that even some people from the other party support our candidate”? These Repubs are even saying they agree with Dems on few policies and don’t expect that to change — but that protecting democracy is a bigger deal. You really don’t get the utility in that message, or do you really think most voters are like your Tumblr feed? (A website full of people who stan dictators and make fun of Ukraine “but leftishly” — a thing unheard of in real world leftist circles because it’s in fact not left at all, but far right — and people who brag about not voting?) I’m just glad that this year the right is just as if not more unacquainted with the texture of grass, is all i can say

In before the ineffective leftists who actively work against their own future and the futures of others jump in: Yes, Kamala did indeed defend Israel's right to exist and ensure their safety and reiterate the United States' support for them. She also said she would work toward a ceasefire in Gaza, and work toward the Palestinian "right to dignity, security, freedom, and self-determination." Those were her words. So if you refuse to vote for Kamala at this point, or go balls to the wall insane and vote for Trump, know you're not actually abstaining/"revenge voting" for or in support of Palestine because one candidate is calling for their freedom, and the other wants them obliterated—and it's not Kamala.

Ok so "prosperity" is an obvious reference to the tax cuts that Trump passed... but what could he mean by "peace?" I guess he was just being alliterative and not thinking...

Okay, pulling in a border sheriff to endorse her, and talk about how Trump made their job harder, and talk about the inhumanity and fatal cost of busing migrants, that is going to play well with independents.

I'm watching all these videos and updates from the DNC convention where all these Uncommitted protests are taking place, and I (bitterly) wonder.... where were these people after Trump explicity stated this?

If there was any effort put in to RIGHTFULLY holding Trump accountable for saying not only this, I might've taken this movement a little more seriously. But given how open he's been in making the humanitarian crisis in Gaza even worse, making comments about encouraging Netanyahu to, "finish the job," and getting little to no push back from a supposed mainstream political movement for Palestine is noticeable. Especially since both Harris and the Biden Administration (including heavily pro-Israel members of Congress) have not only already called for a ceasefire multiple times - but have been working on several negotiations both Netanyahu or Hamas could agree to. This isn't to mention Harris' direct condemnation of Netanyahu's clear lack of regard for health and safety of the people in Gaza.

But unfortunately, what's the likelihood any of the "Killer Kamala" (yes really) or "Genocide Joe" protestors will actually acknowledge this? Again, being understandably frustrated with the powers at play for not taking the wellbeing of Gazan civilians into consideration is one thing, but that concern rings awfully hollow when so much of your rage is being directed towards the one party that's likely to actually make the most positive impact (while simultaneously letting a much worse, actually dangerous, party off the hook).
