First off, it's weird that there are still Republicans on this hellsite. Second, it's weird they share Donald Trump's obsession with crowd sizes. Third and final point, it's even weirder that they'll show pictures of the 2024 Democratic National Convention floor and caption it "Lackluster crowd is barely listening to Kommie Kamala speak." But you can clearly see in the photo that there is no one on stage speaking. So of course the crowd is going to be dispersed, dipshit. But they need proof that Kamala Harris is unpopular and cringe, and it's a time honored conservative tradition to misrepresent photos.
honestly the philosophy posited by the majority of these episodes is pretty damn shallow
seems like most of these episodes were written by some grimdark obsessed white guy
It's called love death and robots, not existential philosophy discussion. It's inspired by the old 1970's Heavy Metal comic-magazine/movies that were intended to mock and shock puritan Christian values. None of these things were meant to be deep or inclusive. But they represent a well established genre that shouldn't be dismissed outright.
If there is a problem with LD+R, it isn't the philosophy, it's that real world politics have changed. Being horny and nihilistic was a core component of the counterculture movement until the 1980's when Conservatives appropriated those values. Thats when they revised their image as cool warriors against an evil authority that doesn't want dudes having sex, guns, or money.
By trying to recreate the horny nihilism of Heavy Metal, the creators of LD+R are just echoing today's conservatives. To HMs credit, they're still alive, publishing content, and are open supporters of Punk-Antifa-Feminist philosophy. If the Three Robots sequel is any indication, then hopefully LD+R will go in the same direction.
On Wednesday, audit liaison John Brakey told a reporter from the local CBS affiliate in Phoenix that the audit team was checking to see if 40,000 Biden ballots were smuggled into Arizona from Asia by checking the paper’s fiber to try to detect bamboo.
“There’s accusations that 40,000 ballots were flown in and stuffed into the box and it came from the Southeast part of the world, Asia. And what they’re doing is to find out if there’s bamboo in the paper,” Brakey told Dennis Welch of CBS5 News.
Welch asked Brakey a series of follow-ups, such as “Why do you check for bamboo?” and “This is part of what you’re looking for?” and he answered that others were searching for the bamboo ballots because “people in Southeast Asia…use bamboo in their paper processing” and “this is part of the mystery that we want to un-gaslight people about.”
These people are completely unhinged. We’re within a generation of a civil war because they will not give up or quit no matter what happens.
They aren't just unhinged, they are grifters too. It's all a part of the perpetual conservative hustle. You know how conservatives accuse scientists or liberals of wasting time and money investigating an issue, get an answer they don't like, and then demand more time and money to keep investigating? That's conservatives projecting their own hustle on to others. They will take an extra long time with this bamboo ballot search until they run out of donation money or invent a new conspiracy theory to disqualify votes. By the time that happens, they hope the longevity of the investigation will lend enough legitimacy to the next one.
Unifying Theory of Modern U.S. Politics: All about Over-Population
I believe there are two opposing approaches to combating overpopulation (an issue first officially addressed in this book) and being implemented simultaneously in the United States of America:
- Improve the quality of life by providing free education, health care (such as abortions), and the means for survival and dignity to everyone. This has the effect of decreased baby production as people are less interested in that activity and better able to work on art and scientific research. Under this system of welfare, Religious/Cultural Fundamentalists will still be allowed to make a dozen babies but those babies could die from a lack of non-faith-based medical care or their children could grow up and reject the fundamentalism of their parents. This first strategy requires a strong government that will consume a lot of resources in order to help everyone live a good life.
- Decrease everyone’s life span by making everything as dangerous as possible through deregulation. Allow toxic chemicals into the drinking water, Allow the easily available food to cause diseases, and allow energy inefficient vehicles to run on leaded gasoline so that people will get lead poisoning just by breathing. Sell guns to as many people as possible so that any social conflict has the potential to turn deadly. Deny health care and education so that people will die from causes that could have been prevented. With this second strategy, a government only has to be strong enough to protect the people that can afford it.
The Democratic Party is pushing strategy #1 while the Republican Party is fighting for strategy #2. Nobody in either party is willing to admit that the goal of their national agendas is to combat overpopulation. If they did, it would make them sound like Fascists who plan on eliminating the people they don’t like. However, they are both willing to accuse each other of practicing Eugenics but with different lexicons and based on different values. Liberals use the language of social justice while Conservatives use conspiracy theories to make the same accusation: You are killing my people while protecting your own.
Who is “My People”?
For Conservatives, it’s people that look like them first, and those that think like them second, and they are willing to violently exclude people who are neither. For Liberals, it’s people who just think like themselves (Liberals will then try anything to conceal this favoritism). Both valuation systems are ruthlessly pragmatic and based on controlling the growth of population. Liberals want more liberals and Conservatives want more conservatives. Under democracy, more people means more power. So both ends of the political spectrum, in theory, want power.
If they are the same in theory, then lets return to the strategies one last time to differentiate the means being used: Strategy #1 a.k.a. Utopian-Socialism promises a life of meaning and empowerment while strat #2 a.k.a. Libertarian-Feudalism practically guarantees lead poisoning caused by pollution and/or bullets. Both strategies achieve the same thing so you can call me crazy because I want a government that can guarantee the water on-tap isn’t polluted.
