I think it’s been said before but I really love how Tolkien does consequences of individual actions in his writing. For example Bilbo vs Gollum in regards to the ring. Gollum starts off his “relationship” to the ring with a murder and can’t let it go it consumes him. While Bilbo starts his with kindness by choosing not kill Gollum using the ring, and because of that he more able to give it up and then this act of kindness leads to middle earth being saved. I just really love how Tolkien continually shows how much individual actions and choices matter through his work. It’s one of the reasons he is one of my favourite authors.
Nandormo S6 Ep 5 sketch/wip - Purpose
My next nandermo comic wip
me when a character who was completely powerless gains power and proceeds to lose themselves in the intoxication of it before coming to and being horrified by their own capacity for bloodlust
he’s such a loser nerd I love him
While trying to find Chekov Bones stops to do some awesome doctoring
My favourite thing is that Bones clearly doesn’t give a crap about the timeline when there are patients involved. My second favourite is that he habitually carries around pills that regrow organs.
this scene sort of implies that they’re a standard part of a starfleet med kit which. kind of tracks when you remember the amount of weird alien stuff they were drinking and eating all the time.
Obsessed with this, it’s so wrong to see them out in the daylight
would you still love me if i was a worm possum? well nandor the relentless FUCKING WOULD
i just think he’s neat :)
"Are you ok?" I'm actually tired bro. From the bottom of my heart I'm tired
1x10 - Move Along Home
Guess the angle on Guillermo was, if you take the 100% blindly loyal attitude of a familiar doing thankless, unpaid shitwork for 15 years and stick him in the corporate world, what happens? He works harder than anyone else, he doesn't mind doing the crap jobs, he does everything he's told immediately. So of course he's the boss's favorite.
You also take the moral compromises he made as a familiar and body guard - leading humans to their deaths, chopping up and burying body parts, covering for the vampires who are surely keeping the local population down, killing many vampires who he also sees as people not monsters...
and transfer that moral compromising to the corporate world. He works for a finance company that buys out and guts other companies to create sweatshops overseas. But he's getting patted on the head and told he's doing a good job, so it must be okay....
