I guess this might be the reason why William Shatner said some not really friendly things about Chris Pine lately when asked on Q&A about him…. I can imagine Chris used TOS to get a feeling about how to play Jim Kirk and used exactly what he didn’t include in his portryal of Jim to create this Prince Charming. It’s pretty obvious, IMHO.
