some of you may not have heard yet, but kenny ortega just announced on his instagram that there is not going to be a season two of julie and the phantoms. our favorite ghost show is officially cancelled.

i know i along with many of you are very sad about this news. so i just wanted to say thank you.

i watched this show the afternoon of the day it came out, and i never expected to be so affected by it. i came in here and found a community of people who loved jatp as much as i did, and it has been such a lovely experience interacting with you guys and knowing you guys.

this show took over my life for many months, and even though i haven’t watched it in a while and i haven’t been as active in here much anymore, it still means so much to me.

i love all of my fellow fantoms. i love all my mutuals, and i love all my followers. i know we’re all incredibly sad about this news, so i just wanted to say i’m grateful for all of you and i’ll never forget the time we all spent obsessing over this show together.

I just rewatched Julie and The Phantoms AGAIN and honestly we were ROBBED. They deserved at LEAST another season. The music is elite and the storyline was pretty unique in a really amazing way. There was representation. This show could have been it. It makes you feel good watching it. It’s uplifting and ended on an intriguing cliffhanger. Honestly Netflix, epic fail on your part.
