Donnie is a nerdy, space cadet who struggles with insecurity. He has OCD and Autism. He doesn't like people entering his lab without permission. He helped give Timothy life by transferring his brain into metal head 3.1. He talks to Timothy the most out of all of his brothers. He is constantly afraid of letting everyone down and being forgotten. Splinter ignored him the most as a kid. And he blames himself for all the accidents in the lair that could have been prevented through his technology.
- Donnie is non-binary and has known for a while. He doesn’t really understand the biases of human gender because usually things like that don’t apply to turtles and he feels more turtle than human. Besides, illogical things like gender stereotypes just don’t make sense to him, but non-binary genders just make more sense to him. Most of the time he’s non binary but he also feels he is agender sometimes. He didn’t understand it at first and he kinda panicked because all of his brothers were very binary but he never felt the same. He came to me and I instantly knew what he was going through and I helped him think it through, sometimes on patrols when it’s just the two of us we test out different pronouns. We found out he’s most comfortable with He/Him and Xe/Xir but he hasn’t had the courage to tell the guys yet.
