I just realised something. I commented on a post on Pinterest a while ago, the post was something about girls who have daddy issues want a boyfriend who can fill that place that their dad couldn't. And I went onto say how that wasn't true because a) I'm not a girl :/ and b) because that's not how I've seen my past relationships. But I don't think that's quite the case. Because I was talking to my mum today about a book character I have a crush on and she said he takes on a fatherly role to the other protagonist and I told her that's what I usually go for...
Yeah it hit me that I do have daddy issues (I knew that already) and that I do fill that with romantic partners. But the thing is it's not like I go after dilfs or I have a "daddy" (🤮) it's more that I just want someone to comfort and care for me the way my dad just didnt.
IM SO MAD IT WAS TRUE
