Mikey is the hyperactive youngster of the turtles, lots of chaotic energy. He loves hanging out with Leathr head and Mondo, other than his brotheres he doesnt really talk to anyone else. Not after Chris Bradford.

OK LISTEN UP. I have a question.
How in the name of fuck did MM Mikey get braces?! Like he couldn't have gone to a dentist and those things you can just find and they aren't easy to maintain. And there's no way he went to the vet that's just nuts. And I seriously doubt splinter stole them off a corpse or something. So how the fuck did he get his braces?!?! SERIOUSLY?! is there a canonical answer? Or do you guys have substantial head canons. Coz Ive got no fucking clue and it bothered me all movie
- I once caught Mikey with an old set of makeup I had long forgotten I even owned. He tired to hide it when I walked into the room and denied it when I confronted him but it was all over his face so I wasn’t fooled. Mikey ended up telling me that sometimes he feels pretty and wants to look pretty so I taught him how to do some subtle makeup that the guys wouldn’t notice if he wanted to wear it in public. He knew that Raph would make fun of him so we only do big make when no one is around or when we go on patrol just the two of us.
- Mikey told me he wished he could have piercing’s but we don’t have an accentuated nose or ears so sometimes I use my paints to draw different piercing on his hears and nose and even eyebrow under his mask. We’ve both debated piercing out tongue but we didn’t know how Sensai will react so we haven’t tried that yet.
I’m rewatching the TMNT: Out of the shadows and this scene makes my heart break. When Raph and Mikey break into police headquarters and try and steal the purple ooze but obviously get caught, and Leo and Donnie swing in to try and save them. And they get swarmed by the police. When they officer says “they’re monsters” my heart breaks, Mikey’s small, defeated “we’re not monsters”. I cry every time. He just wanted to be accepted, he just wants to fit in, he never had a choice about how he was, that’s out of his control and the fact that he has to hide and is punished for something can’t control A) hits rally close to home and B) just makes me want to curl into a ball and cry. It’s just so sad to me. Im a sucker for the “I don’t fit in and I just want acceptance” troupe it hits me right in the heart. Every fucking time.
I just watched the Bayverse movie and holy cow it was amazing. My dad was dissing it so hard and I have no idea why, I fucking loved it. Although I didn’t appreciate the comment Mikey made upon first seeing April. That was really fucked up but we’re gonna ignore that for the sake of my sanity (who am I kidding I got none left). Raph was definitely my favourite in this one, they are always a little bit different from movie to movie generally staying the same. But Raph he was 100% my favourite of this movie. And the bit with the snow! Totally awesome! Favourite scene. 11/10. It was fantastical. I am literally so hyped and I don’t even know why. It was just amazing. I definitely gonna watch the second one tomorrow. ALSO! THE ELEVATOR SCENE! THAT WAS AMAZING! So fun but with a really good best. Freestyle turtles slaps.
- Raph draws all the time but he hides his note book under his bed, the only person who knows is Mikey and it’s the only secret he’s kept because he also likes sitting down to doodle but he only does it with Raph.
- Mikey really wants to learn how to cook. He really wants to ask Mr Murikami to teach him but he too scared of messing up so he doesn’t bother to ask
- After Shredder damaged his vocal cords Leo doesn’t like to talk to much, sometimes it hurts and he just doesn’t like how different his voice sounds now. So he decided to learn ASP and usually prefers to use that.
- Donnie actually needs high prescription glasses but didn’t like the way they looked on him. He already looks like a typical nerd and he doesn’t want to add to that list so he made himself contact lenses that he never needs to take off. He only remembers they are there when his eyes are disturbed.
I’m falling down the rabbit hole of hyper fixation with TMNT and it’s so much fun. Genuinely enjoying getting lost in the confines of this fandom and tv show. It’s like my child hood all over again but now I’m older I can really analyse what’s going on and see things that I wouldn’t have even noticed when I was younger. It’s great.
