I hate when people say that a character's death means nothing if they are resurrected. It meant something. It almost always means something.
Just because it isn't permanent doesn't mean that at the time it wasn't a great sacrifice.
I just don't really see why it wouldn't have the same value. Died for a family member but was brought back to life by that family member? That death still meant something
Died by accident and brought back because a god wasn't done with this patron? Still meant something
I've had several people tell me that if death isn't permanent, it isn't worth anything and I just don't get it.
