sorry if I’m dumb but I just don’t see how is this related to them?

Hi!
No, you're not dumb, anon!
I'm just a nerd for music and for parallels that sometimes I just point at things like a crazy person and try to connect their meanings (think of that one Charlie Day meme). Anyways, this is my interpretation of the lyrics used as part of the chase sequence, bc I love reading along the lines and hopefully you can understand my insanity a little better lol.
"Cause I've done it before" being on Lucy's shot portrays how she's used to saving Tim from the dangers of the job, and from himself. That's why the "And I can do it some more" part of the lyrics are on Tim, bc it insinuates she'll rescue him again and again, no matter what. Whether from crazy criminals or from himself doing something stupid (Think Tim trying to help Isabel hide her drug addiction and him ending chenford. Both times confronted by Lucy!)
The "It's too late" lyric being on Tim? ugh, I find it so *poetic cinema* bc to me it illustrates that Tim might think things with Lucy are over… in a dramatic, forever, sense. The there's no going back, way.
I do believe that this is just Tim's self loathing self coming through though, so it doesn't necessarily mean he is correct. Just that as of right now he sees it that way, bc he royally screwed things up and "how could Lucy ever forgive someone like me". He seems like the type of person that thinks they know what others are thinking and is usually wrong (not when it comes to police work, but when it comes to personal feelings)
The "It's too soon" being on Lucy might show that she's still angry at Tim for all he's done. And not all in a bad way, I think. More like, she's angry at Tim bc he pushed her away and yet doesn't see how much she still cares for him--- how much she wants this to work. Mainly angry bc she didn't have a say on their relationship ending and just the overall situation. She not angry at Tim for needing to find/love himself, but more like that he chooses to do it alone and chose things for her.
The "Or is it" being on Tim's shot makes this whole debacle a 'back and forth' kinda thing. Like he's battling in his mind whether this was the right choice or if he has lost Lucy forever once he "fixes" himself.
Anyways, those are my thoughts. Hope to hear yours!
Thanks for the ask.
