I'm back on my bullshit again. XD Enjoy.
I love Five so much okay? 🤣🤣🤣
Wherein I'm more impressed with Five's True Form and impeccable moustache \0/ than Reginald's status of an Alien Lizard lol
I can almost see the silhouette of a dog- MR PENNYCRUMB??!!!
I honestly cannot even begin to explain how much the siblings actually messed up the 1960s man but im going to break it down maybe:
little things i never want to forget about the hargreeves:
The things the Hargreeves each say to Vanya in the brain eating scene match up perfectly with how they see themselves/who they are.
Klaus accuses her of faking it, when we see a performance from him for the entirety of the show. He fakes almost everything the family sees from him.
Luther accuses her of not trying hard enough, and we know that Luther thinks he wasn't a good enough Number One. He pins this on himself completely.
Allison accuses her of using her powers too much and not being able to handle the consequences. This TOTALLY follows with her s1 plotline and her decision to use and use of her powers in s2.
Ben says that she isn't ready and it isn't her fault. This is how Ben views his death, we know from s1.
Diego and Five don't say anything because they don't REALLY know themselves at all. These two have declined getting to know themselves in favor of dedicating themselves to saving others. Diego literally says he doesn't have daddy issues. Diego. And Five does not know who he is without an apocalypse, or what to do with himself when it's over.
I think this is interesting. I dunno. I don't think any of these people (except Ben) ACTUALLY feel this way about Vanya. It's an analysis on them, done by Vanya in Vanya's head, but because Vanya is the way she is, it gets directed at her.
The Umbrella Academy ☂️
SPOILERS
I just realized something. I think the siblings may have dodged a bullet not meeting that deadline- ref to The Handler and Five's deal of him killing the board in exchange for the survival of his family and going back to the 2019 timeline.
The Handler already duped Five for not mentioning a time limit, what's to say that when she made a deal of a one way trip to 2019 it wouldn't be the 2019 where the apocalypse already happened. I mean, the original timeline Five and his siblings came from already ended right? They failed. The lives they lived and lead in that version is already gone (rip Claire) wouldn't the Handler take that interpretation, and then kicked them in a freshly burned world? So all of them arriving together at that moment and using the briefcase to go back to "2019" would have been- (badendBAdEnDBADEND)
You have given me the greatest gift of a lifetime. You let me feel alive for the first time. That’s a wonderful thing.
Congrats on becoming the sane one in the family Luther
You are an amazing human slash genius
Ray Chestnut deserves all the awards in the world for not freaking out over his wife's bat shit crazy family
The poor man was stunned that her brothers were white.
Then they also had powers.
Then his wife and her brother act so non cholant about a literal murder.
After 5, he is the one who had the worst two weeks ever.
This blog is now a Ray Chestnut Stan blog. Because damn. The respect to keep calm when all you want to do is scream is admirable
The scene where The Handler convinces Lila that Diego was in on the fact that Five killed her parents is so funny to me because, obviously she’s lying about that, but also literally everything else she says is either a lie or a gross misunderstanding of the Hargreeves.
“[The Umbrella Academy] is not full of fools” debatable.
“They’re family. What one knows they all know.” Completely untrue. Half the family didn’t learn about the Commission til this season. No one ever told Klaus about the Swedes. Several of them never heard about Lila til episode 10. Anything to do with Ben. I could go on. “I didn’t think [Diego] was smart enough to pull this off.” “He isn’t. But Five is.” Debatable. On a good day Diego could double cross and manipulate someone. On a bad day Five can’t control his rage enough to convincingly lie to anyone.
“Diego listens to [Five] and trusts him.” First of all, Diego doesn’t listen to anybody. And secondly not even Five trusts Five.
“Five has been playing puppet master all this time.” Five wishes he could get his siblings to do one thing he tells them to.
My favorite part of season 2 was all the siblings saying “yeah Vanya started the apocalypse but it was a stressful situation and she was being manipulated by her serial killer boyfriend so we don’t really blame her”
My least favorite part was when Reginald “Bitchasshat” Hargreeves made Diego’s childhood speech impediment come back
when even the one shared braincell can’t help you
Bonus:
I don't like the way TUA ended
You mean that ending where 1960s Reginald hated the UA so much he made sure to replace them and the only reason he bought ben was because he didn't know he was the kid he got killed in that other timeline- and his siblings didn't mention him or his powers so Reginald didn't avoid him, but the rest?
