Top images: How to defend someone you care about. LWJ stating he has never heard WWX say he doesn’t respect JC.

Bottom images: How not to defend someone you care about. Seriously. JZX. You can’t even defend LQY against sect leader Yao some stupid minor jin woman pointing fingers at her. I’m pretty appalled. Can we get some basic human decency there. Yao accused LQY of feeling “guilty” the jin woman proclaiming she’s ashamed to stand next to LQY. These people are smearing her good name and besmirching her honor. And you don’t even make a noise in her defense. Some friend you are. I wouldn’t want to be your friend. Pffffft.

(I admit he was in an awkward position -- he doesn’t want to cause issues with his dad or his sect -- but his inaction has caused enough harm i'm pointing it out because it needs to be yelled into the ether)

Ep 27 - I HATE YOU. Part 1 of ?

JZXuan needed to do more. Period. I feel like fandom lets him off pretty easily and it’s not ok. Jiang Yanli being awesome does not buy him a free pass.

Take this scene for example. Ep 27. Right after WWX takes the Wen Remnants to the Burial Mounds, JGS has a meeting to discuss how to deal with WWX.

You see LQY (mianmian), LWJ, and JC’s reactions at various points of this scene: all some sort of worry, concern, and disapproval. LQY has the look of someone seeing how low people can get and being disgusted. LWJ is positively fuming. JC is a complex mixture of fear, worry, concern, and shame.

And then we look at JZXuan. There is a subtlety to his blink that makes me think MAYBE he disapproved but he’s not going to say so in front of his dad. He makes me SO ANGRY throughout this scene. His voice is the one that MIGHT carry some WEIGHT here. His voice is the one that might HELP. He KNOWS the kind of person WWX is and he remains silent. Slap some backbone into the boy. Seriously. His sense of world order just pisses me off.

Does anyone wonder how Mianmian found out about Jin Zixuan's death? And Wei Wuxian's death? (Going on cql storyline here)

Like can you imagine leaving the sect and missing your best friend? And hearing about his wedding and baby and being so happy for him? And then planning on going and saying hi because you can't wait to be that obnoxiois doting aunt? I bet, like WWX, Mianmian got Jin Ling a gift too.

And then getting to Carp Tower to hear JZXuan and Jiang Yanli both died? JZXuan at the hands of the Yiling Patriarch who you KNOW isn't a bad person!! So what the absolute h*ll happened?! Because you know WWX and he wouldn't. You've seen him punch JZXuan over soup and Jiang Yanli's happiness. He would never kill her husband and the father of her child. And you hear jyl died because of wwx. And jc killed wwx.

Can you imagine how thunderstruck that news would be for someone who went away from the cultivation world for a couple of years?!

Can you imagine how lost Mianmian must have felt? How heartbroken and confused?

Do you think she just sat down in the middle of Carp Tower and cried for an entire shichen? Because I do.

And then she left. She was 100% done. And never looked back.

Urgh. Mianmian is giving me all the feels tonight apparently.
