He ain’t from Missouri. That’s all I know.
Well, I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I like the way you say it.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), dir. James Gunn
You are the light of my life. My precious son. My little Star-Lord.
I’m sorry I didn’t do none of it right. I’m damn lucky you’re my boy.
Ever since I was little Ever since I was little, it looked like fun And it’s no coincidence I’ve come And I can die when I’m done
Maybe it’s time to let the old ways die…
Maybe it’s time to let the old ways die…
I know Peter was taken by Yondu long before “Believe” by Cher was released but if you think Meredith and Peter wouldn’t absolutely blast that shit at full volume you’re wrong
📂 for a headcanon about Peter Quill and his mother ?
meredith would always say that sharing music and dancing are two of the best ways that you can show you care about someone. there was a lot of both in the quill household; she was playing music for peter constantly before he was even born, and she danced with him almost every night until she wasn’t able to anymore.
this is what sharing his music means to peter – it isn’t just a piece of his mom, but it’s also a piece of what she valued the most, too. there’s a ton of significance, maybe even more than people realize, to the fact that he shares these things with gamora and all the other guardians.
Meredith Quill & Yondu Udonta meet in the afterlife.
i can still hear you saying you would never break the chain.
#meredith quill would not have put this song on her mix ABOUT PETES DAD #if SHE DIDNT KNOW SOMETHING WAS UP #defend meredith quill’s legacy
sing it op
Every goddamn song in Volume 2 indicates that Meredith knew she’d been abandoned and was heartbroken over it. She didn’t want to come out and tell her eight-year-old son that his father ditched them, but she put the songs on the mix to let him know, someday, so they could grieve together.
I called her my river lily.
try all u want but your music taste will never be as good as meredith quill’s
