✨Love and Gravity (the print edition of Always Human season 2, chapters 38 through to the epilogue) is out, in bookstores, tomorrow!✨

Like last time, I have cool goodies to give out.

The release campaign is running through to the end of August, please go to https://alwayshumanbooks.carrd.co/ for more information and to submit your receipt! There's a Q&A on the site and hopefully that answers most questions. If you have further questions, please ask here and I will answer :)

I've been asked to extend the campaign by a few days, so the forms are now closing on Monday the 4th of September, and rewards will start going out after that :) If you haven't submitted your receipt yet, please make sure to do so! https://alwayshumanbooks.carrd.co/

I love all your work so much - just recently got my physical copy of Love & Gravity and it's so beautiful and I'm absolutely obsessed with Seven Days in Silverglen :') I especially love your music, and wanted to ask: 1) what's your process like for writing music? what tools do you use?

2) any plans to integrate music in 7dis?

aaaa thank you so much, you are very kind <333

I use Garageband because it came with my computer :) 1) My process is to sit with my keyboard and improvise until I have a melody/chord progression that fits the mood. If inspiration doesn't strike, I'll either google something like "sad/happy/emotional/romantic chord progression" or go to https://autochords.com/ to help me pick chords. Then I improvise a melody over the chords. Then I repeat, and add layers.

2) Not really, since 7DS updates are ~10 panels at a time (far too short for music!) and on canvas (can't actually upload music!) Sometimes I think it might be nice to do a soundtrack the way a visual novel does eg. give Tess a theme, Mira a theme etc. I might do this one day? I don't know, we'll see what the future brings :)

Speaking of music, I'm doing music for the final two episodes of Mage and Demon Queen (which is really really good!!! the final two episodes are an absolutely perfect ending, lots of laughs, lots of feelings.)

Is there any plan to release the digital bonus comic from the love and gravity Campaign in the future for those who missed it?

Hello, sorry for the delayed response, I'm recovering from a very miserable flu.

Yes I do plan on releasing all the digital bonus comics publicly at some point, I don't like the idea of keeping parts of a story exclusive (especially time-limited exclusive that's the worst.)

But, these comics were drawn to say "thank you" to people for preordering, and I am very earnest about that "thank you", so the Love and Gravity bonus comic won't be publicly available for a while yet.

I am hoping to get the other two comics online soon though, I'm talking to webtoon about getting them up with the rest of the Always Human archives :)

Anonymous asked: Not so much an ask and more a I just discovered your webcomics and binge read through all of them (excited to see where silverglen goes). And they are all instant favorites of mine. Keep up the great work!

asldkfjaldksfj thank you so much <333

Are you proud of the webtoons that you have made

hmm, I would say so, yeah :) (Are there things I'd change, or things I wish I'd done better at? Absolutely. But overall I'm proud of what I've made.)

I finally got Love & Gravity, so I re-read the entire volume starting at volume 1. It's just as great now as when I followed it on Webtoons, and I love having it in printed form. However, I am the teensiest bit disappointed by the fact that the 4-koma special comics aren't in the books. The one about Austen's childhood and her fairy tale book is one of my favorite parts of the comic. May I ask why it's not in the physical release?

Yeah, I was disappointed by this too :(

Unfortunately the nature of print comics publishing is that someone important decides on a page count (in my case, 250 pages for each book) and then you have to stick to the page count, because printing more pages messes with the budget.

250 was fine, if a bit tight, for book 1.

It was not enough pages for book 2.

The team fought hard to get me more pages and we did get a longer page count, thankfully - I think it ended up being 268 pages? - but it was still really tight, and so we made the (very sad) decision to leave out the 4koma special.

But I fully agree that the fairy tale book is important, and while adjusting the panels and dialgoue for page viewing, I managed to squeeze a mention of it into chapter 21. So it's still there, just not in exactly the same way. (Thank you for reading, and caring, and getting the print book!! Much appreciated!!!)

Im so excited to finally have both copies of Always Human by @walkingnorth. This story was my first introduction to her works, and I've read everything she's put out since. It is and always will be one of my favorite comics. The interpersonal relationships and character dynamics are some of my favorites, and I truly believe the writing in this inspired some of my current writing style.

I'm so happy to have a physical copy to have and hold.
