Serwyn of the Mirror Shield + Ser Byron Swann : ok this is me still thinking about the allusions of yvain the knight of the lion being split in jaime and brienne's story, while the lore for these characters was retconned i think some elements will bleed through, the part in Yvain's story rescuing a lion from a dragon might make that dumb scene in GOT where Bronn(why is he here) saves jaime from getting burned but instead it might be Pod playing that role (it might go differently especially if they meet young griff first) the mirror shield motif might go with the idea of podrick and his name being in relation to reflections and mirroring either of the past or current characters in the present (the sigil of house Payne is possibly a reference to windowpanes them having gold in it isn’t explained yet other than them being under house Lannister) i hope he doesnt get burned by #wildfire but anything could happen in twow😭

Aegon V (egg) targaryen : being a squire to Duncan the tall's supposed descendant brienne, like egg he’s gonna need some time to grow out of his “pod” whether he becomes a great hero or fails is yet to be seen , while rereading ASOS podrick naming all the Dornish sigils that were appearing (like a total nerd) gave me flashbacks to egg doing the same thing in Dunk&Egg, egg kept a gold signet ring in his boot to prove his identity grrm might reverse this somehow for pod in order to prove which house he comes from or what his allegiances are.

(this is a disclaimer I don’t think podrick is a secret xyz I just think he’s an unlikely hero especially during ADOS there might be vague references to lannisters only because his house is under allegiance to them, he might be a lot more higher ranking in his house or might have a somewhat hidden identity unknowingly in reference to his house and parents but thats how far i'll take it)

Jaime Lannister : Pod is following some footsteps of Jaime but its just much more hopeful but with a terrible start unlike Jaime he’s not from a secure household and gets treated badly by adult figures around him from the start but his trajectory changes once he starts squiring, Arthur Dayne is the pinnacle of a romanticized knight from past days, Jaime lived this including fighting men much older than him which we also see Pod doing,squiring for Brienne (the truest knight) and Tyrion,he is currently living the highs and lows of squiring for a knight as jaime did including potentially fighting a brotherhood in the forests, its unknown if he'll be knighted at 15 or participate in a tourney as well(i like the idea of him becoming a mystery knight briefly) but hopefully he'll be a much more positive/reflective mirror to Jaime or he won't be as cynical by the end even if the story requires him to question allegiances and honor.(but just like Jaime and serwyn he’s still traumatized tho so....that's fun...)

Edit: I also think about how edric dayne was supposed to turn into dark star basically turning into a worse person/edgelord as time went on so I’m really curious if pod will have something to say about knights and loyalty eventually or that won’t be explored because of the dropped time skip
