clannad is basically all about urbanisation. we’ve seen that tomoya doesn’t like the concrete jungle, the ever-expanding suburban sprawl that comes with the growth of a town. clearly the anime is about advocating for smaller towns rather than growth into cities and nothing else,
i was feeling very depressed and dysphoric this last week but then i went to a friend's house and binged all 49 episodes of clannad which gave me both a renewed hope and determination to transition and a new hyperfixation
