When my children tell me they are hungry, I check the leftovers and try to decorate them so they don't lose their appetite. The food is almost spoiled, but it's good for me that they ask for food. 🫕

My children haven't eaten vegetables, 🥗fruits, 🍎🍌or even sweets 🍰 for more than 30 days because they are not available in the markets, and if they are available, they are expensive.

My children have become malnourished and have lost kilos of weight 😔😢

My children and I dreamed 👨‍❤️‍👨👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 of living in peace, but where we can't even count on a meal to eat, these dreams seem far-fetched. That's why we've started a fundraising campaign in hopes that we can continue to build a future for my children and live in safety.

In a flimsy tent, under an overcast sky, my mother was trying to protect my four sisters from the cold weather. The strong winds shook the dilapidated canvas tent, and water leaked from inside its threadbare curtains, soaking its fragile mattress. This wasn't the first time my mother and siblings had spent the winter in this tent, but it was the first time it had felt so desperate.

My mother and our family were among the couple displaced due to the ongoing conflict. They find themselves trapped in a makeshift camp, lacking in everything: food, medicine and shelter. With their separation, their ill suffering was caused in the winter. The tents are unable to weather the storms and the island's airport, and many of them are exposed to bankruptcy.

One day, it rained heavily without a strong wind. The small tent could not withstand this sea storm, and it quickly sank. My mother and my brothers narrowly escaped from the collapsed tent and took shelter under the tree. They were shivering and hungry, and had nowhere to return to

On cold nights, the winter session with my brothers would tell them stories about life before the war. She remembered their happy days in their warm home, where they ate their entire meals and played in the garden. She was trying to instill in them hope for a better future, but she did not feel despair deep in her heart

When I first set up the fundraiser, I randomly selected $50,000 hoping the war would end before we could raise half of it… Unfortunately, the war is still ongoing and funds are still desperately needed as aid entering Gaza dwindles, making the little that is available more expensive. Another consideration is that when I transfer money to my bank account and from my account to another bank until this money is gone, the bank takes a 30% cut. So please keep donating, you are literally the reason Ibrahim and Samar’s family haven’t starved to death yet.

please think of the disabled people of gaza. please think of the diabetic people of gaza. please think of the neurodivergent people of gaza. please think of those whose lives are relying on medicine that has either stopped coming in due to the blockade, or is available in such scarcity that its price has skyrocketed.

we're approaching winter. on top of the challenge of securing waterproof tents and sufficiently warm clothing, some diabetic people in gaza have stopped taking their insulin as they can no longer afford it. those who are able to acquire it for now know every shot may be their last.

imagine that kind of pressure during a genocide.

Mohammed just told me that a missile fell meters away in front of him, blowing the bodies of 2 people into pieces right before him! My friend Nader is a 17 years old Palestinian boy who has been campaigning tirelessly for months now in order to evacuate his whole family from Gaza.

When I first started chatting with him, his campaign, which has a total goal of €50,000, was at a bit above €5,000 at the time, about a month ago.

Thanks primarily to this sweet boy's daily efforts and the help he's received from some Tumblr users, we've managed to get his fundraiser to 62% of its total goal!!!!

With that in mind, if everyone who's donated a relatively small amount would donate a similar amount again as I did, we could SO easily take him very near his goal!!

If we reach this €50,000 goal, we'd be saving not just Nad, but several young children, his father Ahmed who's a cancer patient, and many others. Reminder too that an uncle of his was martyred very recently. Anything can happen at any moment, and he gets very disheartened whenever donations decrease. We need to get them all out of Gaza as soon as possible.

His little niece is suffering from malnutrition, and every day when Nad and I resume chatting again he tells me how exhausted he is. I'm very worried for him and his family, as there's people dying of starvation all around him and him and his family aren't doing well. His family has already been displaced NINE times!!

Let's give Nad a chance to follow his dreams of going to university. Let's give his very small siblings a chance to know of a life free of bombings and shootings. Let's give his father the opportunity to deal with his cancer with dignity and an actual fighting chance.
