There’s a scene like this in the last episode of the 80s Beauty and the Beast. Diana, the character they invented so they could write Linda Harrison out, and Vincent catch up to the season arc villain who killed Catherine and kidnapped her and Vincent’s baby. Vincent is about to literally tear into Gabriel and Diana stops him with a you’re-better-than-that speech. Vincent leaves the room and Diana pulls a pistol out of her purse, says, “This was Catherine Chandler’s gun,” and shoots Gabriel dead.
