DEAD AIR is a solo RPG about running a radio station after a nuclear apocalypse. The elevator pitch is Threads meets The Thick of It - DEAD AIR faces the unrelenting horror of nuclear obliteration with the grim certainty that things can always get worse.

The 48 page zine takes the form of a collection of found documents collected before and after the bombs fell. You will take on the role of station manager, alongside any other roles that you can't find wasteland survivors to fill. The job will have you spending as much time trying to make sense of ancient and conflicting broadcast guidance as you will keeping the generators running (and the wolves at bay).

The only materials required to play are a deck of playing cards, a pen and paper, and a copy of the zine. Optionally, you can record your programmes live if you have access to (even very basic) recording equipment and a desire to perform!

This is a version of the series designed to be listened to in one go, with no housekeeping at the end of episodes. There's also a blooper reel!

I've just released my entry to the One-Page RPG Jam 2024! It's called What Scraps Are Left, and it solves two problems at once: wanting to become an ethically-challenged "practitioner" of the sciences and getting rid of a load of documents whose existence you despise in an entertaining way!

So, why not grab a few friends, a pair of scissor and a bunch of hated documents and set to work creating an awful facimile of life sure to terrify the townsfolk! Good luck with the torches and pitchforks!

All you’ve ever known is the Great River.

Gather your crew and swear a magical Oath — to each other, to your ship, and to your goal to reach the Source of the River or cross the horizon of the Sea. No one has ever found the Source and no one has ever come back from the Sea. Journey to four locations along the River, each tied to one of the major arcana, never moving backwards and never lingering for more than 72 hours, but impacting life on the River all the same.

Your time on the River is short, but that it is insignificant.

Upriver, Downriver uses a combination of polyhedral dice and tarot cards to guide the narrative through four to twelve 3-4 hour sessions.

here, there, be monsters! is a rules-lite response to monster-hunting media from the monsters' point of view. It's both a love letter and a middle finger to stuff like Hellboy (and the BPRD), the SCP Foundation, the Men in Black, the World of Darkness games and the Urban Fantasy genre in general.

It is an explicitly queer, antifascist and anti-capitalist game about the monstrous and the weird, in any flavor you want, not as something to be feared, but to be cherished and protected.

Play as a diverse crew of monstrous, anomalous or just generally odd beings, fighting against those who would use, abuse or even annihilate you. reate and populate your own supernatural underworld, abnormal gang and extra-dimensional haven. Hunt monster hunters! Punch nazi occultists! Eat the rich! Protect each other! Fight back! Here, there, be monsters!

I love the idea that this is just a standard trade delay. Like merchants are just reacting like someone said the trucks broke down or something.

"Hey why hasn't my shipment arrived?"

"Oh theres a group of blood demon worshippers mangling the reality of the road."

"Well shit. Any guess on how much extra time its gonna take?"

"Hard to say. Should be a ten mile journey but every new estimate given of the middle stretch seems to be in terms of emotion and color. Looks like it's now 8.1 miles plus the color of sunset on a spring evening after you've eaten a good meal with good friends. Call it an extra day."

You call them level thirty demons, we call them job creators. The economy depends heavily upon the continuous flow of monetary exchange between adventurers needing magical and mundane objects, and the producers of quality goods. Because of the mobility of adventuring groups, moderately even distribution of resources is assured by monsters who capture valuable trade items which are recovered by adventures and subsequently enter the economy of multiple cities. Frankly, if it was not for various dragons and giants the entire world would have become a capitalist nightmare.
