put your head on my shoulderrrrrrr
Okay but Suna being down bad for Osamu and not knowing how to deal with it and can't tell if Osamu feels the same way and doesn't want to risk the friendship by bringing it up kisses Atsumu just to see how Osamu would react (Atsumu was on board with it) and Osamu getting super jealous and just grabs Suna by the shoulders and tells him
"I bet I'm a better kisser than that scrub." And then kisses him is how they got together and I'll accept no criticism.
Bonus points if Atsumu knew they both liked each other and just wanted some drama because he's a little shit.
Osamu is the mighty boss of Onigiri Miya, resourceful, confident, efficient, a leader who takes no shit from horrible customers and will face unexpected problems head on. But sometimes, running a restaurant is so stressful. He was having a bad day, plagued by stress and pressure of servicing customers, keeping track of products and finances and employees on time. Even on his mind, he wonders and calculates and thinks how his business can be more successful and how to avoid losses. The next day, he broke down upon discovering he forgot to wash his laundry.
He woke up early, before Suna. As usual, before making breakfast, he would check his chores and the state of the house. Not that he didn't complete them the day before-
A basket of 2-weeks worth of dirty laundry, which he had promised himself to deal with yesterday.
God, was he so stuck up with dealing with restaurant problems? How could he forget such an important chore? Now how would he have clothes in store to wear? He already woke up hung-over with light sleep, and his forgetfulness of yesterday might just kill him.
He doesn't cry, he swear. Atsumu only saw him cry when they were kids. Osamu would shrug it off and move on, solving the problem as quick as possible before having a quick lunch and open Onigiri Miya on time.
And it feels so difficult. Waking up at 5, driving one hour to the city center, and opening the shop at 6, then go home at 11 to his husband at 12. His employees wonder how the boss could keep up such a scary lifestyle, and right now, Osamu wonders it too.
Meanwhile, Suna found himself lacking Osamu's warmth in the bed, and got up to find him. It was no surprise Osamu would wake up early and leave Suna completely in deep sleep. But he'd always kiss him before going to work silently.
Suna went outside, to see Osamu sitting and staring at the laundry. Chests heaving. Osamu was distressed. As he got closer to Osamu, he realized the man was crying silent tears. He wouldn't look up at Suna, but Suna knew.
But Suna was terrified too. For the first time Suna could recount, Osamu cried. He had never noticed him crying before, even though Osamu often asks him for comfort when he's down. Suna had doesn't know how to comfort someone when crying, and he's afraid he might hurt Osamu. But he has to do something, because he cannot let him cry like that.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I have to get ready for work."
"No. Really what's wrong? If it's about the laundry then I can do it for you. No need to beat yourself over that."
Suna shook his shoulders. Voice full of confidence. Not what he often does to comfort Osamu. Even holding Osamu's hands in his to maximize the effect.
"Fine. It's stress. Running the restaurant's hard, you know?"
"Then take a day off. Relax. I don't want you to cry again. Go to sleep, and you'll feel better after that."
"Promise?" Osamu looked up at him in teary and weary eyes.
Suna wasn't sure what he said was true, but he has to go through it. He wants to believe in it too.
"Promise."
"Thanks Rin, but I gotta go to work. They need me."
Suna guess he couldn't keep Osamu with him for too long before he'd be back at the restaurant, his work, his passion.
"But come back early, yeah. I want you to have a good night sleep." He said, dejectedly. He thought Osamu could stay with him and relax and take a day off work.
"Promise." Osamu wiped his tears, simply smiled and kissed Suna on the forehead as usual before leaving work. Now that's the familiar kiss before he goes to work. Suna went back to bed and tried to continue his sleep.
Osamu cries few tears, and for a few times. But he knows how to bounce back and carry on, with the right support. And one day, when the business gets better, he could allocate more time to his home and Sunarin.
Osamu does things (attractively), and Rintarou feels things (unwillingly), in that order.
My piece for the SunaOsa Exchange 2022 for tirralirra on AO3!
Out of the Miya 4, Atsumu is the first to get his driver's license and Omi, being the sugar daddy he is, tells him he'll buy him any car he wants.
Suna being a little shit looks at Osamu and asks "if I got my license would you buy me which ever car I want?"
"ya literally make more money than I do."
"but what about my fantasy of being a successful business owner's sugar baby?"
"then ya shoulda found someone who didn't just start out."
"it's fine I can wait until you are that super successful business man with tons of money."
(this was supposed to be funny but I ended up making it cheesey 😬)
Osamu pulls Suna in by the collar of his shirt. Suna's hand rests on Osamu's nape, fingers carded into his hair. It's always what they do when they want to be near one another.
sunaosa get a cat and it ruins their sex life for a bit bc they manage to get a super clingy cat who whines and cries when the close the door on it and it makes them both so sad to hear
snos | practice kissing
"Ya should ask him to try practice kissing."
"... what?"
Atsumu points from Rintaro to Osamu.
"Sunarin. Ya. Practice Kissing."
"Why the fuck would I ask him that?!"
Atsumu gives him a look, Osamu returns it with a scowl.
"Are we still pretendin' that ya don't like him?"
Osamu wants to rebuff that, but it's steadily getting harder when just last week Atsumu discovered Osamu's collection of Rintaro's selfies on his phone.
It's totally normal for friends to trade selfies! Even shirtless ones!
suna likes to steal osamu's soft, hand-knit sweaters. he knows a majority of them are made by osamu's mom and he loves that they always smell like a home-cooked meal and his favorite person in the whole world.
I Can’t Sleep | SunaOsa
It was 3am when Suna checked his phone, the dim light shining on his face under the covers, illuminating the darkness as he sighed. He reached out of his sleeping bag, grabbing the earbuds from the bag next to him. He plugged them into his phone, clicking play on a random playlist. A slow, calming song started playing in his ears. He turned up the volume as he slowly got up, making sure not to wake his sleeping teammates beside him.
He walked down the hall, looking at the dark creepy house while walking into the bathroom. He closed the door and turned on the lights, he was met with his own face, pale with recognizable, dark eye bags. His hair was a mess and he looked seconds away from passing out, but he couldn’t sleep. No matter how long he hid under his covers with his eyes closed, thinking of the happy things that usually put him to sleep. But his mind wouldn’t start his REM process.
He sighed to himself, splashing water onto his face. He dried himself off before turning off the lights and heading out the door. He was about ready to go try to sleep again when he noticed a light at the end of the hall he hadn’t seen before, hearing the creaking of footsteps along with the music playing in his ears. He took out his headphones, hearing a yawn come from the place. The kitchen, if Suna remembered correctly. He grabbed the nearest item before slowly making his way down the hall, trying to be as quiet as possible. Small creaks were heard from him, louder ones from the place he was slowly creeping up to.
He quickly turned the corner, throwing the object at the person and getting ready to run. But instead of an intruder, he was faced with Miya Osamu dropping a spoon to the floor with a small shrek as a bar of Unicorn shaped soap smacked him in the face.
"What the fuck’er ya doin’, Suna?" He whisper-yelled, holding his nose as he learned the person who snuck up on him wasn’t a creep. "I coulda wakin’ up the resta the team, ya think Kita-san would be happy ‘bout that?" He scolded as Suna averted his eyes, holding his arms close to him with a small frown on his lips.
"I thought you were an intruder," he explained briefly as Osamu sighed, turning his attention away from him. He bent down to grab the soap, it somehow managed to stay all together.
Miya Osamu, a popular person on the team and in Suna’s class, someone he never truly interacted with outside of the court. Everybody liked him. Who would blame them? He was respectful and kind, unlike his counterpart, not to mention how good looking he was. Osamu was handsome and Suna knew it. He couldn’t help but glance at him every time he entered the room.
"So why’re ya awake?" Osamu asked, catching Suna off guard. He glanced slightly up at him from what he was doing with his hands on the counter.
"I can’t sleep," Suna said, staring at his side profile. God, he was pretty. Osamu looked up at him, a look resting on his face Suna found difficult to read. His eyes are beautiful, full of colour and brightness. Suna could feel his cheeks heating up already.
"Can’t or don’ wanna?" Osamu asked, causing Suna to stiffen, his heartbeat quickened for a moment as he looked into Osamu’s eyes, wondering if he was asking what he thought he was.
"Can’t." He finally responded as Osamu nodded, his face starting to focus on his hands again as Suna felt himself relaxe. He moved closer, not hugging himself so tightly as he saw Osamu mixing ingredients together.
This intrigued Suna, all he knew about the twins was their love for volleyball. They always competed against each other so who would’ve thought one of them could bake. Or cook. Or whatever he was doing.
"I didn’t know you could bake," Suna murmured as he watched Osamu work, his hands expertly putting things together, beating them down.
"Ya never pay attention," he replied as Suna looked down, his phone pressed up against his chest, something he didn’t even realize he was doing as he talked to this man. He looked back up, watching him work. Suna’s eyes stayed on his hands, watching how skilled they were and how they knew their way around the kitchen.
"Are ya gonna say somethin’er are ya jus’ gonna stand there?" Osamu asked as Suna glanced up at him, seeing his eyes looking at him while he worked.
Suna bit his lip as he looked back down, his hands clenching his phone tightly, getting ready to start mindlessly scrolling while leaving the world to do whatever it pleased. He stayed silent as Osamu sighed, focusing back on his hands while Suna started to back away. He already felt as if he were bothering Osamu.
"What kind of music do ya listen to?" He suddenly asked as Suna stopped moving away, looking over at him.
"Huh?" He inquired as Osamu put the pastries in the oven, going to wash his hands.
"Yer always on yer phone listenin’ to music, what’cha ya listen to?" He asked as he looked up to meet Suna’s eyes.
Something about the way he asked made Suna fully loosen up, his arms finally going back to their normal colour rather than pale white and red.
"I listen to a lot of bands, mostly Arctic Monkeys and Gorillaz," he quietly admitted as Osamu’s eyes lit up.
"I love Gorillaz," he smiled as he got closer to Suna, his face slightly pink as Suna felt his heart skip a beat, his body feeling Osmau’s warmth as they stood so close.
It’s safe to say that the next morning, the two of them were found cuddling on the couch, sharing headphones. They both had the best sleep they’ve had in a long time.
Suna wants to be seen as an invulnerable, strong person who doesn't need kisses or affection. He loves cuddling Osamu, but WILL NEVER ADMIT IT. When he really really really wants a kiss from Osamu, he'd ask him in the tiniest, lowest, quietest voice he could muster, praying to god Osamu doesn't notice. He has a reputation, yk, and he wants to keep it.
Osamu hears it. All of it, but he wants Suna to repeat and always say "Louder? Louder." Until Suna finally says it out loud and Osamu gets to see the blush on his face that rarely comes out. What a feat.
suna sitting on the counter and tugging osamu into quick kisses. suna's eyes shine with all the affection he can't bring himself to voice, but osamu hears it all the same.
quick kisses turn into long loving kisses where osamu wraps his arms around suna's waist. suna smiles into the kiss, holding his boyfriend's face.
"I love you," osamu whispers. suna steals another kiss.
a timer starts to beep and suna groans. osamu smiles as he pulls away.
suna leans back, resting his weight on his hands as he watches osamu finish cooking.
suna kicks osamu's ass when he gets close enough and laughs when osamu glares.
osamu finishes what he's doing and gives suna a playful look. suna prepares for whatever osamu will throws at him.
suna smiles even as osamu grabs his legs and almost pulls him off the counter. he yelps, playfully pushing osamu away.
if you had told suna that he'd feel this happy one day, he would have never believed it.
so he whispers, "I love you," before stealing a kiss from osamu.
