dark tides barely had a city at all since they were seen as less of an iterator and more of a lifeless machine . the only citizens living on them were the ones who didn't fit on red haze . tides was definitely NOT built to sustain life either since she was so hyperspecialized for wastewater purification so the people living on her had to live off of imports from haze's city
red haze's city was a LOT more industrial than most iterator cities . plenty of factories and various production plants there , most of which were fully automated and Still functioned fine even after his citizens left . her citizens were quite successful with inter-city trade because of the amount of stuff they had !
i haven't thought much about what the citizens Actually did up there ( like their traditions and lifestyle ) but i hope this at least suffices

ive accidentally birthed 2 slugcat ocs while playing gartic phone . say hi to the twins ketchup and mustard
a pair of slugcats created by no significant harassment around the time of rivulet's campaign takes place . they function as emotional support slugcats basically , to combat the growing isolation between iterators , ESPECIALLY with the stuff happening in sig's local group
COLOR SYMBOLISM !! ketchup's red is taken directly from seven red suns' id color , while their light red splotches are a close enough version of hunter's body color that doesn't clash uncomfortably with the suns red . mustard's yellows are taken directly from looks to the moon's id color and a darker version of it that i use for shading . basically these fuckers are colored the same as the people ( and one scug ) sig loved the most
Thinking about Meat Shower and Nothing Misery again tbh…
they have such a dynamic.
Meat Shower is “impure”, it is chaos, it is a demon who once feasted upon the blood of the innocent. It lost that when it was permanently masked.
Nothing Misery is “pure”, she is order, she is an angel who once reigned with honor. She lost that when two of her rarefaction cells were destroyed.
They hate each other, so fucking much. Nothing Misery welded Meat Shower’s mask onto its face to stop its terror. In retaliation, Meat Shower destroyed two of her rarefaction cells. They both hurt each other in so many ways.
And with design stuff…
Meat Shower was inspired by vultures design wise. Vultures are stereotypically signs of death and bad luck- but also, good luck and rebirth.
Nothing Misery was inspired by doves design wise. Doves are stereotypically signs of peace, love, and purity- but also war, and a symbol of a real-world military group.
