Vlad Țepeș Drăculea, famously known as Vlad Dracula, was a true Romanian historical figure who is now remembered due to literary fiction and myths rather than historical facts. But who was the real man behind the legend? Was he really a cruel and bloodthirsty demon? Stephan the Great, Vlad’s cousin and an equally larger-than-life Romanian historical figure, tells a part of his story to his son and his playmates. The film is based on the novel “Crucified Between Crosses” by Vasile Lupașc Sfinteș, and it is a commissioned project produced between 2019-2020 in partnership with Vasile Lupașc Sfinteș and the Blacksmiths’ Tower museum in Sighișoara. It won the first prize for Best Animated film at RATMA International Film Festival and it is currently playing at the Blacksmiths Tower museum in Sighișoara as a permanent part of their exhibition.

I can forgive human rights violations. I cannot forgive being boring
@urbanfantasyinspiration, you can forgive humans rights violations?
In fiction yes
the decrease in costuming quality over the last 20 years has been soooo precipitous & nauseating. i’m not even talking abt marvel’s cg supersuits or anything this time, look at the fabric quality, structure, layering, character, and craftsmanship of older costumes in 102 dalmations (2000) vs cruella (2021)
ever after (1998) vs cinderella (2021)
lord of the rings (2001-2003) vs the rings of power (2022)
this trend should upset you not just because it looks cheap, but because it suggests a strong anti-art and anti-labor movement in film and tv making. don’t forget costumers are unionized

I can’t believe The Simpsons predicted this tumblr post
I have not suffered the indignity of growing up as a girl being told that my period is both the thing that makes me a women and a thing to be ashamed of to only now in my adulthood being told my period doesn't make me a women it makes me a bleeder instead.
How does this not make every women's blood boil?
Lmao all it takes is one peaceful mass protest for these freaks to go hiding in their holes
What a GIANT PUSSY
This reads like Gersh Kuntzman having a Reddit conversation with himself.
Reblog to Honk in support
HONK
I guess hobopoppins thinks real oppression is being honked at? 🤣
So Billie Eilish, a recording artist who makes millions with her creative work, has teamed up with Adobe, a multi-billion company, to bring us a contest where artists make merch designs for her for free, and only the winner gets paid. Sorry, a “prize”. And part of the “prize” is exposure.
Oh, and if you submit an entry, whether you win or not, you give them the right to use your work.
Contests like this are a scam. They’re exploitative. Always. They’re a way to get people to do work for free, and only pay the “winner”.
Billie Eilish makes music. She is a creative professional herself who makes money, a lot of money, with her art. She can afford to pay an artist to design her tour shirt. Adobe can afford to pay artists to do design work.
If she wants to give fans the opportunity to work for her - just invite portfolio submissions. Let artists send you work they’ve already done, pick one whose style you like, and hire them to make a design for you. Easy.
This, though? This is trying to use her fame to get people to work for her for free. This is trying to exploit her fans. Note how the key selling point they picked for the tweet isn’t the cash prize, it’s the exposure. This entire thing is based on the hope that people will be so excited to have their work officially featured by Billie Eilish that they’ll work for free just for the chance.
Don’t enter “art contests” like this. It’s not a contest, it’s a scam.
I saw you reblogged something about what's going on in Ottowa with the truckers, and I just need to ask: isn't this whole convoy/gridlock thing a protest against vaccine mandates at the border by the alt-right and their sympathizers? That's the only coverage of this that I've seen anywhere else, and tbh it surprised me to see you post about it, but you may have a more nuanced perspective on what's actually being going on than I do.
The trucker convoy is indeed a protest against the vaccine mandates. But the idea that it's only being supported by the alt-right and their sympathizers shows a lack of information about the subject. Of course, there's a lot of news coverage running with that narrative because coporate media has a message to send (note: this is done on both sides of the aisle, not just left-leaning news outlets).
I want to make it clear: the main point of the protest is not about being anti-vaccination, anti-masking, or any of that nonsense. The Freedom Convoy is one protest among many around the world that are fighting back against governments mandating masks and vaccines. Most people joining these protests are vaccinated themselves but don't think it should be a forced medical procedure. The size of the convoy is unclear given the amount of information and misinformation (again, from both sides), with some sources claiming 38,000 Canadian truckers (along with some American pals) are headed to Ottawa to make their point clear and other sources claiming it's only a fringe movement. I can't find any consensus on just how big it is but given the left-leaning bias of the sources claiming that the size is exaggerated, I'm willing to bet it's on the bigger side.
I also want to reiterate that this is not only happening in Canada. People in France, Australia, and other countries around the world are coming out in protest against insane government mandates. When I say "insane", I'm refering to mandates that demand people show vaccination records to enter restaurants, grocery stores, and other places of business. Personally, I would have less of an issue with these requirements if they came from the businesses themselves. But the businesses aren't making these decisions; the governments are. Take the current situation in big grocery stores such as Walmart in Canada that now require vaccine passes to shop due to government regulations. Regardless of my own opinions on the vaccine, government mandates like this are a big overreach. And the last living signatory of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms has the same idea
TLDR;
Trudeau and the corporate media can say all they like that this is a fringe movement. But given that the dear PM suddenly as to go into lockdown as soon as this protest starts getting too close...I'm willing to bet it's bigger than they want you to know.
You wanna see how upside down corporate news is with the Covid narratives? Check this out:
“Anti-vax athlete dies of covid” is the trumpeted headline.
But…
He was mother fucking vaxxed and died anyway.
Why isn’t the headline “Fully Vaccinated Gold Medalist Dies of Covid”? That is the accurate and important fact from the story. If anything, dying while being fully vaxxed buttresses any anti-vax sentiment he may have expressed on social media. These journos and their hive mind are all pieces of shit.
I’m so used to boomers ruining social media platforms but these fine gentlemen singlehandedly made tiktok worth it.
I love everything about this. They all Get It. They’re doing this comedy thing RIGHT.
love this purity ring song
with a bunch of chocolate companies about to be charged with child slave labor, i have to recommend tony's cholonely, who's sole purpose for existing as a company is to make chocolate 100% slave free. they've got a bunch of stuff on their website, including available FAIR reports
the single chocolate bars all range from a relative 5-6 dollars, but the bars are 6.35 oz (1/3 of a pound), but they also have 2 dollar ones at 1.8 oz, as well as packs & sets, etc
wait rb again with the addition that they don't just have an online store, you can lookup your zip code on their website and find a store near you
& if you're concerned about them not shipping to your country, one of the sites you can use is dutch expat to buy their stuff
tony's chocolonely is a delicious slavery-free bar with the WORST name and an abysmal imprint pattern that makes it impossible to break off even pieces I buy it all the time and find it extremely frustrating. Do buy it.
the bar is like this and drives me up a wall
it’s good tho buy it
also they just taste hella good like theyre delicious, i highly recommend
thinking about them again 😔❤️
