On my annual Spinning Silver reread and I have so many questions about Baisa Lastname. Like, imagine you go to the matchmaker and meet this really nice guy. And then your estranged cousin Myriem helps him make enough money for you guys to marry and buy a nice house. You are incredibly thankful and make her promise to attend your wedding, but live goes on and you are busy, and it's not like you guys are close, so you forget. And you are so happy and distracted that you don't even notice that she is not at your wedding. Suddenly, someone knocks. All the guests are there. You don't expect anyone else. The door opens. It's your fucking cousin Myriem, together with the malevolent personification of the winter and all that is wrong with your country. Whom she apparently married in the two weeks since you last saw her. And you think, ok this won't get any weirder. The the FUCKING Tsar & Tsarina turn up and fight your cousin Myriems new husband, the winter elf, in your living room. And then, months later, you learn that that part of your family has abandoned all society and lives in the woods now. And Myriem is still married to the fucking winter elf. Like what do you even do then. What.
