#anna karenina#i'm watching this now because i borrowed a screener#and it is basically everything i love about film#beautiful costumes (so beautiful i'm having heart palpitations what)#amazing amazing cast#(MICHELLE DOCKERY)#(KEIRA KNIGHTLEY)#(JUDE LAW)#(MATTHEW MACFADYEN)#(RUTH WILSON)#(KELLY MACDONALD)#it's based on one of my favorite novels and it's directed by my fave director#with costumes by my fave costume designer and music by one of my fave composers#the movie is beautiful and incredibly deliberate and artistic#and yes i realize there are problems with this adaptation i am absolutely loving it!!!!!!!#also the costumes in this film are the best things to happen to me#1870s mixed flawlessly with 1950s fashion??!?!?!?!#you don't even understand#these costumes are why i want to design costumes--yes they are beautiful but they also flow seamlessly with the aesthetics of the film an...#*and the characters and their society
