[ID: Sir Fitzroy is a half elven man with tan skin, and short auburn hair, and a slight beard. He wears a bright red, double breasted jacket with gold and burgundy accents. He is talking to Rainier, a human woman with tan skin and long blonde hair. She is wearing a purple and black dress with puffy, striped sleeves, and a large black sunhat with a lavender ribbon. She is seated in a burgundy, levitating chair. He rubs the back of his neck as he says to her, “So…I’m a villain now. Very much not the IDEAL situation, but I am resolved to make the best of it.” Rainer puts up and hand and says “Stop. Say no more.” She then smiles and puts up two fingers guns, while saying, “I know just what you need.”
In the next image, Rainer is showing announcing “Ta Da!” while holding her hands towards Sir Fitzroy, who stands confidently in attire that is from head to toe, quite villainous. It is completely black and grey, and rather ornamental. The sleeves are puffy and slit, there is a cape with fur trimming, and the trousers are tied at the knee with bows. In the third image, we see the firblog, a firbolg, Argo Keene, a water genasi man, and Snippers, a pink magical crab, all seated in folding chairs and clapping their hands excitedly. In snipper’s case, he is snapping his claws.

castlevania s3 dark humor au where taka and sumi keep talking about killing alucard but they keep procrastinating it while both of them try to refrain from admitting how much they genuinely like him they keep dismissing ideas as “too difficult” or “too risky” and keep making excuses like “well if he dies who’s gonna show us how all this stuff works” three months go by and they were totally GONNA kill him in his sleep but oh my god he made the BEST sweet rolls…. just for them…. that’s so sweet…. he can die, like, next week, probably… like six months have passed and they’re braiding his hair and making flower crowns and its just “we’re totally still gonna kill him eventually… we just need to butter him up a LITTLE more…” another six months and they’re gently kissing him good morning and coming up behind him while he cooks breakfast to snuggle against him… they meant to poison his breakfast but they “forget” to actually add the poison…. for the fourth time… someone else shows up to kill him or rob him or something and they’re just like “we called dibs already you piece of shit” and then they have to come up with lame justifications for why they helped him when they had every opportunity to betray him in the chaos they finally try shifting to non-lethal strategies involving just getting all the best shit he has and ditching him, but they keep fucking that up too They almost get away with it once but then go back because they “forgot something” and “it’ll only take a few minutes” and then end up there another four months back and forth accusations of “if i didn’t know better i’d say you’re actually in love with him” which is usually just refuted with “no u” and then they’re both too defensive and in denial for it to ever go anywhere productive, so this whole ridiculous thing goes on further and further while alucard is blissfully unaware and probably off making them his special new cupcake recipe.

New animation. Go listen to the new season of The Adventure Zone, Graduation. It’s really fun.
Thank you to @lydiabutz for helping me redesign these boys.
This animation took so long to do, and all because my computer wanted to crash ninety times while I was animating.
Credit for the designs goes to Carey Pietsch, content and voices belong to the McElroys. Animation is all me.

fun fact for you all: bram stoker started writing dracula just weeks after oscar wilde’s conviction…….we really are in it now
Dracula! And Oscar Wilde! YES! *drops papers everywhere*
I’ll just casually drop this here–it’s a long (and good) read, but essentially, the author argues that:
- Stoker wrote Dracula as a direct reaction to the Wilde trials
- Many of Dracula’s characteristics actually echo Wilde as described to the trials, and Dracula’s lifestyle resembles an exaggerated version of precautions to hide homosexuality
- Stoker is basically the pro-closeted 1890s alternative to Wilde’s flamboyancy, and that comes out in how he portrays Dracula and Jonathan Harker
- Like if you look deeper into Stoker’s letters to Whitman, he’s practically obsessed with feeling “naturally secretive” and “reticent”
- (Also he and Wilde had some weird personal rivalry going on, since Stoker married Wilde’s definitely-not-straight ex-fiancee, though later they were friendly…there’s a lot to unpack here)
- So, arguably, Dracula was Stoker’s way of apologizing for his silence during Wilde’s trials.
Some highlights:
Wilde’s trial had such a profound effect on Stoker precisely because it fed Stoker’s pre-existing obsession with secrecy, making Stoker retrospectively exaggerate the secrecy in his own writings on male love.
It is difficult, Stoker admits, to speak openly about “so private a matter” as desire. In carefully calibrated language, Stoker asks forgiveness from those who might see that his silence is a sin-to those few nameless souls who know his secret affinity with Wilde.
Since Dracula is a dreamlike projection of Wilde’s traumatic trial, Stoker elaborated and distorted the evidence that the prosecutor used to convict Wilde. In particular, the conditions of secrecy necessary for nineteenth-century homosexual life–nocturnal visits, shrouded windows, no servants–become ominous emblems of Count Dracula’s evil.
Dracula…represents not so much Oscar Wilde as the complex of fears, desires, secrecies, repressions, and punishments that Wilde’s name evoked in 1895. Dracula is Wilde-as-threat, a complex cultural construction not to be confused with the historical individual Oscar Wilde.
tl;dr:
- Stoker is actually too repressed to function
- Oscar Wilde (especially his trials) absolutely influenced Stoker
- Dracula gay
