I wouldn't say psychopaths. If I have to read someone's name 8 times a paragraph so I don't get confused when there's shit like "She looked at her fondly and with slight trepidation. She was always interesting to her but also incredibly intimidating" then I get annoyed. Also, some of us like to live vicariously through the characters. You let me know where I can find a demon orgy or a realm of fairies or anything else I've enjoyed in 1st person POV and I'll stick to 3rd person forever. Maybe chill calling people childish for enjoying things

So it looks like NaNoWriMo are happy to have AI as part of their community. Miss me with that bullshit. Generative artificial intelligence is an active threat to creativity and the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people in creative fields.

Please signal boost this so writers can make an informed choice about whether to continue to take part in such a community.

This sincerely makes me want to unpublish any of my works online and buy a typewriter. All of these AI are fed everything on the Internet both copyrighted and not. I'll be damned if some massive movement/organization get my works stolen and published by someone else because they encouraged laziness and theft. The problem with 99% of everything right now is a complete lack of fucking integrity. Do what you say you're going to do EVEN WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING. I think everyone should be made to do a year in a military program in high school so they learn some manners since we took gentle parenting so far our kids don't have respect for us. And if you don't understand how everything I just said relates then you need to take a break from social media for a week and think for yourself
