November 15, 1989: Batman (1989) is released on VHS.
The film was one of the best selling video titles of the year and it revolutionized the home video industry by being one of the first films released on video the same year it was released in theaters as opposed to waiting a year.
November 15, 2005: DreamWorks' Madagascar (2005) is released on DVD and VHS.
This is the second to last DreamWorks Animation film released on VHS and it is the only Madagascar film released on the format.
In addition to the regular bonus features on the DVD, both DVD and VHS releases feature the Penguins short film "A Christmas Caper" and an "I Like To Move It" music video (though some DVD copies only had the music video).

This is the last VHS release of the film. In addition to the main feature, this tape also includes over an hour of bonus features including a behind the scenes featurette, the short films "Vincent" and "Frankenweenie", and a trailer for the film.
