I feel like they've been pushing Krillin ending up with 18 as his happy ending and thus the end of his character arc, which blows! He has so much more potential as a character, and his relationship with 18 is a part of that! Just look at the episode where they start training for the World Survival tournament. It shows Krillin being affected by the shit he's been through and 18 helping him through it! They're so damn interesting!
