hello ilu bc ur like. Ultimate Waka Stan. everyone else jumps ship when she falters and then there's u who loves her unconditionally and as a Fellow Waka Stan i appreciate the solidarity

i just saw this? i have no idea how long i’ve been missing out on this? THANK YOU SO MUCH IT IS APPRECIATED.

i really... well, for me, she *is* exceptional. even if there are skaters who are more captivating-even-when-they-have-a-bad-day or something, for me, there’s no one who touches me more (in ladies for sure; but in this way, overall, as well). so she’s still really the best skater for me. the energy and the drive she has are unparallelled. and whatever others say, i believe she will conquer her programs this season, as well, and shine like she always does.

Alina Zagitova

What I like about him/her/them: she has this frenetic energy and drive that I find very enjoyable. Good expressions, like in her short — in general, she seems to do well in drama and fast-paced music. I think in the future I could like her, maybe even a lot, with the right programs. Her flow out of jumps is really nice sometimes, but you usually only see it in practice — it doesn’t look as good in actual competitions, for the most part.

What I dislike about him/her/them: she’s very unpolished and has a lot of unfinished movements, especially during competitions. Most of the problems are down to choreographer (or coach), though, like the amount of movements stuffed in without much attention to the music and especially zero time to hold the positions or give them any meaning or reason; or even the music choices — well, the fast-pacedness is a good choice, at least; I sure hope she doesn’t get a slow piano music a la the typical Tutberidze group FS in the future :/

Favorite costume: surprisingly, I ended up liking the Swan Lake SP one. Hated it the first time, but yeah, it grew on me. Still could’ve gone without a goddamn tutu.

Favorite competitive program: I... don’t know. there aren’t ones I really like, but I guess I ended up enjoying the last SP by the end of the season? And I understand

Favorite exhibition/show program: honestly, I haven’t seen her in juniors that much, so I don’t know :/ and wiki doesn’t help. I hope she gets a good one next season, please.

Favorite element/skill: she has a nice donut spin!

How did you learn Swedish if I may ask? ( just curious :D )

In university! It was my major, so we had Swedish every (or nearly every) workday, quite often several lessons (1,5 hours) a day. For four years. :D

Thank you so much for your Ladies in Lavender notes. He is pure pleasure for me to watch, but I felt there are few that could pull of this music without losing and meandering away from its eloquence or song. Yet he could do so, a unique ability! I appreciate your taking the trouble to put into words the parts that made this a special whole. (especially as you mentioned, english is not your native language)

hhhhh thank you so much for the nice message!! ;;; this is so lovely to hear. I’m glad someone feels similar way about Shoma’s LiL as I do

I was really curious what "#малышатина" means because i see it in your shoma posts, and accdg to google translate it means "baby"? I just found that cute haha

Ahahah, it kinda means that, but also not just?? It’s a word Tarasova regularly uses for him ;;; she uses a lot of sweet/cool words for him, but this one specifically I find SO adorable bc while the root, “малыш”, means “baby”, the suffix “-атина” is really... hard to explain, but it adds something cool to it, it’s not just a pet name, it’s also kinda praising?? impressed?? it’s kinda cute BUT ALSO HILARIOUS, I’ve never even heard this WORD before (I mean, it could easily be a new word! it’s easy to make new words using suffixes in Russian, after all) and I just started using this as my shoma tag......

Hi! I heard (read, really) somewhere that you were doing a translation of a transformers detective fic by Dianavert. I was wondering if that was true, and, if so, where could one find it?

heya!

Dang, I’m sorry to say that things & life kinda spiralled out of my control, so it’s still very much unfinished. D: It’s true, but-- well, it’s long - 27k, well, fairly long and plotty and stuff, - and it’s very good, so I really hope to do it one day! Just, not yet, not now. :/

Таня?

Tanya is the name of one of the first three people I befriended on the Internet, back in... 2004? 2005? 2004, I think. Anyway, yeah, we met on this forum for a series of... russian books, and we both wrote fics. she was only three years older than me, but like, I was 10-11, and she was 13-14, SO. she’d been a very big influence for me, leading me to join liveinternet (a blogging platform, very... stupid place, a place with a stupid reputation xD) and then diary, where I remain to this day :) and she introduced me to many other things, like anime (I watched just a couple, but that was intense!) and some very important books (in my life), including Max Frei’s stuff, which led to me meeting maybe the most influential people in my life. :D So yeah. We lived very far from each other, me in SPb, her in Irkutsk. but we met a couple of times, later, when we didn’t communicate that much! It was nice, and she was always very cool. We still follow each other on diary, though rarely talk nowadays.

41. Name a fic that has a perfect ending.

Hmm. Yeah. Then there’s Transformers. That would be Fierce Pleasures, X-Amount of Words aaaand A Deeper Bruise of Knowing.

32. Do you leave reviews after reading fics? If so, what do they sound like?

I do. That is, I try, and sometimes it takes me a long time. Thing is, I don’t leave short reviews. They can be three lines long, if a fic is short and I don’t have that much to say, but they’re at least three lines. Mostly, they’re a couple paragraphs and really lengthy. I like to quote bits I particularly liked. I also tend to go into detail about how I felt reading that fic (because I’m a very… in touch with my feelings, so to say).

44. Do you mainly read TV shows, movies, or books?

It really depends? Like, I don’t read TV series fic right now because I don’t really watch any TV (apart from cartoons). And I’m usually firmly stuck in one fandom and rarely venture outside it. Sometimes I get random urges to re-read a fic from a long time ago, or just to read a fic for a particular fandom/ship/character. Sometimes it’s fandom I haven’t seen/read the canon of! But I don’t tend to read fics for different fandoms at the same time. That said, I have read fics based on TV, movies, books, anime, cartoons… all kinds of stuff, including that one Russian ad for coffee.

I really find the differencies between movie&tv and book fandoms and fic fascinating, but that’s another discussion, I guess.

I think you're a super-awesome, thoughtful, kind person and I really enjoy your thoughts on things when we cross paths. And I think I owe you by a round-about indirect path for where my life is currently going, so thank you for that. :-) I hope you are feeling better soon and good things happen for you in the future!

Oh god, what. Thank you so much, you are so kind.

I’m glad I was a good influenc on your life, I guess? That’s awesome!

Thank you, this really means a lot
