He says he specifically worked on Lady's backstory with Capcom, so that makes me even more curious and excited to see how it could fit in to canon!

Seeing the new development info, I've gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed the animators didn't go with this Dante design for the Netflix anime because I like it a lot. The longer hair reminds me both of DMC3 Dante and the DMC1 Novel Tony Redgrave design (below). The C outfit is probably my favorite. Still, I've gotta say seeing the development info is pretty cool!

It's also interesting to see the shot below, where Dante looks a bit older to me. The bottom right image where his skin is considerably darker has me wondering if they were considering giving him a skintone closer to his DMC1 design at some point, or if they just colored it like that to emphasize the lightness of his hair.

I watched the trailer of Devil May Cry, the Netflix series by Shankar, and I heard Dante voiced by his nephew (Johnny Yong Bosch who voiced Nero) and I understand why Reuben Langdon didn't reprise the demon hunter's role...
