I… uh… would like an egyptologist’s opinion on this picture I’ve just seen online.
hey @thatlittleegyptologist have some vibes
Less effective when you know it's two eyes, a rounded cartouche and a cup. Goes from 'weeb shit' to 'ohh he's asking for libations in the afterlife' real fast.
I think "asking for libations" is the intended reading of the anime pic, too
Yeah, it's the last face she makes before her Ba is destroyed by Nun for failing the scales.
Man I hate it when people use the pronoun “you” as a singular pronoun in an informal setting. “You” is plural, unless thou dost speak to an unfamiliar person. The correct singular second person pronoun is “thou” in most cases. Grammar never changes. Pronouns must always stay one way until the end of time. Learn thy proper English. *sigh* Kids these days.
If thou this mistake shouldst make on thine own blog, then know, villain, that thou art a dirty descriptivist, and no friend of mine. Ne'er should language itself alter, it doth remain fixèd as such, untouch’d by change. Wouldst thou, vile descriptivist, that we forget the heritage of our great tongue? Nay, say I. Thou art but a dickhead who sayest so.

the 14th amendment of the US constitution in no way abolished slavery. it merely restructured the victim pool.
When Nutt's upset he shrinks and I'm obsessed with that
Favorite paintings I did this year looking forward to making MORE and getting BETTER ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
American trans pals: This is a good reminder that those of us with injectable HRT should go buy a few boxes of needles and syringes from the medical supply store. A box usually contains 100 units, and will be cheaper per unit than what you pay at the pharmacy individually.
A common pharmacy gatekeeping tactic is to insist on an Rx just for the needles, even when that is not required. Or to mix up the right needles, be unable to find them, etc.
*waves* Hello! I spent ten years of my life buying supplies for a hospital! Needles are cheap and available without a prescription (pharmacists just get weird about it sometimes! Even with diabetics! Which is a rant for another day!)
Here are some places I used to buy needles from for my job at the hospital:
Barbie peaked when they used photos of the dolls as branding, to the point that Barbie picture books would often feature photography in lieu of illustrations. That is full confidence in your product, that its own image sells itself. That's how you know 90s-early 2000s Barbie was peak.
And the photography was GORGEOUS too!! So detailed!!!!! I had a couple picture books from that time as a kid and I'd just staaaaaare at the fabulous tiny sets and props they made for these dolls, the environment felt so real even though it was miniature. I need this energy back.
They were so right for this.
I know 3/4s of these pics are from movie adaptations, but trust me they did it with a lot of other books and other merch too. It was glorious.
One day I just decided that no matter what happened I would be chillin and let me say it actually has been working
Benefits of chillin
- Puts others at ease. Something scary happens and you just go “oh well that’s not my favorite.” And then everyone around you knows it’s Okay.
- Can calm a bad situation. I’m not talking about telling people to “calm down” or downplaying a serious moment, but when somebody has a freak out because they’re really angry or sad you can just be like “wow, bro, I can tell that this sucks a lot for you. I’m sorry about that. I’m willing to be chillin here with you until you feel safe to be chillin to.”
- Builds relationships. I have gotten better at approaching people and saying “hey there, I just wanted to chat about how your behavior earlier was kind of un-bodacious of you and I was not loving it.” And usually people are receptive to that much more than to passive-aggression (or active aggression).
- Makes me think. Being Chillin is not automatic. Sometimes I wanna freak out too. But Being Chillin puts me in a mindset to find solutions or at least see a way forward.
- Selfish point Gives people a positive opinion of me in matters of conflict resolution. If somebody is going around mad at me and telling everyone I’m nastymean and stinky, and meanwhile I’m Being Chillin, most people will agree that I am probably not actually nastymean and stinky.
actually what are your new year’s resolutions pls put them in the tags so i can be nosy
