What if there was an AF manga pt.2 - I love the Twins! <3 This was lots of fun to do, even though the style, shading and everything is hard.

Worked a little bit on the Twins panel tonight. I’ve been a little bit busy over the past week with a different project so I only managed to squeeze time today to get back to fowldom.

Hahah oh man, I loved doing the “AF manga” piece, so here is another one - Beckett and Myles xd Maybe it’s just me, but I think I would love Beckett more, I can imagine him as a really wild child, who ruins Miles’ plans because he just uses brute force… Yet it still turns out alright xD
(Beckett’s hair was better as a sketch, I think I’m gonna redraw…)

Too much Bakuman in the background man, I just HAD to try haha, regardless of the meh result. Sigh, using screen tones and getting the “manga feel” is damn hard. And then imagine doing it traditionally! I have infinite respect for pro mangakas.

My, I took way longer than I planned with this, I guess I was stalling somewhat… Still I learned a lot! :)
Working on Arty, his face is proving difficult once again. Even though it is a small part of the painting I still wanted to make sure I capture the emotions well, I think it might need more determination/desperation…
We shall see. It's been very fun so far though :)

Started working on this second painting tonight, so far I'm trying to establish some mood/colour scheme, but it might still change as I'm not 100% sold on it yet.
And done! Phew, I learned a lot through this painting. I'm happy to move onto the next one now!

Rough comp for another painting maybe… This time a scene from Arctic Incident where Holly is about to "abduct" Arty and Butler (oh how the tables have turned :D)
The Fowl Estate… (well, mainly boxes for now). I'm having issues making my mind up about it to be honest but for now this is the closest I can get out of my head for it. I guess its slightly different to the book description but I imagined it as a large, somewhat spread out complex making up a mansion.
Still undecided if this is the best way to actually show the Estate or would a more dramatic view from below be better ._.
