Lawbin Jealousy Headcanons
Law and Robin are both adults, so childish jealousy isn’t exactly prominent in their relationship, but it isn’t exactly out of the equation.
Law is a bit more prone to jealousy than Robin is. He trusts Robin to be faithful, absolutely, but it’s more of a pride thing for him; the fact that some low-life scum dared even breathe in his gorgeous lover’s direction just infuriates him. He’s Trafalgar Law, Surgeon of Death, feared pirate of the Grand Line- and some thug thinks he can make a pass at Robin? Oh, no, sir. Robin is usually amused by the situation, tossing smug side-eyes and smirks at Law as some fool fawns over her; she’s baiting him, practically. It doesn’t take long for Law’s blood to come to a simmer. He’ll stride over, with all the smoothness and grace of a cat hunting its prey, and sidle up beside Robin to slink his arm around her waist with just a bit too much pressure.
“Are they bothering you, my love?” Robin, of course, loves to tease Law and will cutely reply that no, they’re just having a friendly chat, which of course gives the poor idiot hope that Robin is actually interested in an illicit love affair. Most people with quail before the intimidating Law, but those with an unhealthy amount of pride might dare to sneer and snidely comment that Robin may have a better time with them. They’re a bit less sure of that when they end up a disembodied head and severed limbs floating around the room.
Once she’s had her fun, all it takes is for Robin to slide her hand up Law’s arm and whisper placating words in his ear for Law to let the poor pawn in Robin’s game run for the hills. She’ll act all innocent and praise him as her knight in shining armor as they saunter out, but as soon as they’re alone, Law is pinning her up against the nearest surface and huskily growling in her ear, “Do you think you can tease me like that and getting away with it?” Ever the playful one, Robin will flutter her eyes and gasp affrontedly, “Me? Tease? Why, I never.” The mischievous glint in her eyes says otherwise.
Robin, on the other hand, gets jealous for emotional reasons. Robin is a fragile soul, and though she seems calm and collected most of the time, sometimes she wonders if she’s enough. Law is devilishly handsome; there’s no denying that. She sees the way people ogle him. As they stroll around town, she clings closer to him as girls giggle to themselves about the tall, dark, sexy stranger, completely ignoring the noirette hanging on his arm. Robin nevers attacks anyone over her jealousy, instead retreating within herself, self-confidence fraying thread by thread.
Law’s no idiot. He sees her change in mood immediately. He’ll spirit her back to the ship to withdraw her into their private quarters, immediately drawing her close to purr sweet nothings into her ear. Robin immediately calms down once she is surrounded by his embrace, lulled by his rare show of tender affections. It’s plenty enough to remind her that she is loved and plenty good enough for Law.

Lawbin Relationship Headcanons
Law and Robin are kindred souls; they both have rough pasts and are academically inclined, plus they’re pretty close in age and maturity. Their courtship begins with a lotta quip and banter, but after they’re going steady, they’re almost like a chill married couple. They’re relationship is pretty solid, and here’s how it’d look:
- Law and Robin both enjoy good ol’ peace and quiet most of the time, so a majority of their time spent together is just coexisting in the same space. They drink coffee together in the mornings, with Law idly scanning a medical textbook and Robin reading a historical text or the daily paper. Neither of them are one for pleasantries or small talk, so they usually just sit in silence with small smiles on their faces.
- Law can get really caught up in working in his medical laboratory, so Robin makes sure to bring him fresh pots of coffee throughout the day. Sometimes she’ll make conversation, inquiring as to what he’s working on, before leaving him be. However, when she gets to feel that he’s been working too hard, she’ll spin him around in his chair and firmly remind him that even doctors are prone to overexertion.
- Of course, Law is stubborn and usually refuses. So what does Robin do? She sits on his lap, strokes his goatee, bats her pretty eyelashes, and pouts that she’s lonely. Law’s face immediately flushes red and he swears that Nami must have taught Robin the art of seduction- and it works.
- When the Thousand Sunny and Polar Tang dock at islands, Robin hardly ever ventures out into town unless she has an itch for more books or to nose around, so usually she and Law stay on the ship. It’s a rare moment to have some time to themselves, and although they don’t do much more than just flirt with each other and maybe exchange some kisses, it’s nice to do so without their crews’ ogling them.
- Whenever they do meander around town, Law sticks close to Robin’s side, giving off silent messages to the surrounding people to leave his woman be. He’s not really into PDA, but the subtle touches and lingering glances and constant proximity are big hints.
- He and Robin will mosey around random shops picking up books they like. Sometimes they’ll grab brunch or snacks in the local cafes.
- Now, as far as the crew goes- they’re little shits. Law’s crew teases him to no end because they never dreamed he’d date anyone, let alone a slightly older woman. Shachi and Penguin exclusively refer to him as “jailbait” to get a rise out of him. Of course, they’re super sweet to Robin, because they adore how much she cares about and looks after Law. The “mommy” jokes are also thrown around a lot and it makes Law go ballistic, LOL.
- As for the Straw Hats, they know better than to tease Robin; they’ve seen her snap people’s spines, for crying out loud. But, they’re all a bunch of hooligans, so they definitely make kissing faces and noises behind their backs or throw around casual comments because they just can’t help it. Most of the time Robin is amused and throws back a heavily insinuative mark that makes them flush and regret they’d played a game of wits with her.
- When one of them has nightmares, they immediately seek the other out. They normally don’t saw much because they really don’t want to talk about it. They get plenty of comfort from the other’s presence, so they just intertwine together as close as they can and lull one another back to sleep.
- Overall? Just a chill, sweet couple. They have loads of potential and I think they would have awesome chemistry.

Hi, and was wondering if I could request a Lawbin (Law x Robin) fic that's romantic and comforting? I really love this couple because of their similarities, and I think, above all of the other Straw Hats, Robin could relate to Law the most in terms of background and personality. However, this ship isn't very popular, so it's kind of hard to find works featuring it, which is why I'm making this request. I hope you don't mind because I know you're working hard on the other fics. 🙇♀️

May I ask for your thoughts on Law x Robin? I know you haven’t written on them before, but since you’re a massive fan of Law, I can’t help but wonder how you’d feel about this ship? I hope that maybe you’ll be able to write a fic on Lawbin/LawRo in future because I think it’s a wonderful pairing that needs to be explored more in both fandom and in canon. 😉
I actually have a request currently for Lawbin that I definitely intend to fulfill! They're both intellectuals and I definitely seem them meshing for a lot of reasons, like their troubled pasts and their interests (I feel like Robin would find his interest in old coins particularly adorable!). Overall, it's got potential and I would love to write for them! 😊
