24. Our characters attacked by thieves!
Upon seeing one of a group running past him with something that looked suspiciously like it didn’t belong to them, Gold Foot seized the fleshie by the back of his top, holding him up. This caused a defensive reaction from the rest of the group but a threatening growl and a few cracks of his knuckles were enough to see them off, dropping whatever they had tried to take.
Foot reaches over and opens the glove compartment, grabbing the SatNav out of it and handing it to Kuulas for her to put her address in. “Does that answer your question?” He grins, before sighing. “It’s happened to me a couple of times, I’ve nearly lost something and twice someones very important to me. Usually it was my fault in some way.”
"Thank you," she grins and enters the address. "Let’s hope your sudden appearance won’t startle my neighbours." She adds while placing the SatNav on the dashboard, before sobering at Foot’s words. "I’m sorry to hear that."
"Welcome." He grunts, fiddling to attach the SatNav to it’s stand. "Yeah well, if I startle your neighbours good for them. They’ll just have to deal with it." He grins, before putting the car in gear and following the directions from the- Thankfully muted- device. "Don’t be, I had no control over the most important ones. That was just the way things were back then."
"Can't help it, even if you say that," she sighs and watches the passing streets. "Hmmm, guess you are right, since there now might be the possibility of you coming for a visit now that you know, where I live. Hope the old lady from two floors above won't be too surprised, if she meets you one day in the corridor."
