1+5 SENTENCE FIC + Fox/Wolffe
When he woke up this morning, he did not expect to be neck-deep in inky black water by nightfall. - @cacodaemonia
But Fox also did not expect to be pulled overboard by a bloody fucking mer!
Coughing, Fox spat seawater was only glad that the semi-mythical asshole had the decency to help him stay afloat and Fox could feel the water shift against his legs when the mer slowly swayed his tail. At least Wolffe -- how the fuck did a mer up with a name like that? -- looked a little chagrined when Fox glared at him through his wet lashes.
Wolffe let out a soft warble as he nuzzled Fox's chin, lips brushing teasingly against Fox's before pulling back or he at least tried to because Fox followed right after him, claiming the mer's mouth.
The kiss tasted like salt and fish.

He could have sworn that rock just moved, but the more he looked at it, the more he realized that all the rocks were moving. - @marbled-polecat
Slowly, Fives raised his blaster because what the kark, no rock should move, less alone a whole bunch of them!
He tensed when one of the rocks, grey and moss-covered, rolled even closer before coming to a stop less than five feet away from him.
Whatever Fives had been expecting (and he had been expecting a lot) it wasn't for the rock to suddenly unfurl into a grey-skinned creature with large ears and real flowers growing from... was that grass?
"Oh, aren't you cute," the creature said as they looked Fives up and down, leaving him dumbfounded enough for not to notice how the rest of the stones started unfurling, too, revealing dozens of little creatures like the one that had, uh, flirted with him.
"... Hello there?"

Someone recently posted about how Tumblr clout doesn’t actually translate into anything in real life, it just means X amount of people read your post, so what’s the point?
I mean besides the fact that some people actually use their posts for good, like activism and combating misinformation, there’s just posting for the sake of posting which is its own reward.
But also, sometimes you’ll make an impression with your fucked up posting that someone decides to send you a DM to talk to you about elves or a podcast or a podcast about elves or something and now you’ve made a new best friend :)
Also sometimes you get to teach people about sauna gnomes and that’s rewarding in and of itself

Okay, so: it’s “saunatonttu” in Finnish. The word “tonttu” gets translated as “elf” sometimes but like as a Finn I emphatically disagree with that shit, these ain’t no elves. “Gnome” has its own issues but I think it’s funny.
They’re basically a type of tutelary spirit of the sauna. Whenever you build a sauna a sauna gnome will eventually move in. I mean you can always expedite the process by going to someone else’s sauna and telling everyone there that you’ve just built a sauna and it’s such a shame that you don’t have a sauna gnome yet, so the local sauna gnome will put the word on the grapevine that any sauna gnomes in need of a sauna know that there’s a new sauna in town.
And they basically take care of the sauna for you, making sure it doesn’t burn down and that it works properly. But they’re also capricious and vindictive: to stay on their good side you gotta make sure to behave properly in the sauna (the sauna is no place for drunkenness or obscenity, in fact going to the sauna should be treated almost as a somber religious ritual), you gotta greet them when coming and going, and it’s customary to leave them a vihta/vasta (a bundle of birch branches with the leaves on, used for cleaning up in the sauna) and to leave them one last löyly (a very specific term for the steam that rises from the sauna’s stove, called “kiuas”) before you leave so the sauna gnome can enjoy the saunaing.
If you’re in breach of sauna gnome etiquette they may turn against you and skin you alive or burn down your sauna.
Passing this along in case any of my mutuals were thinking of building a sauna.

Fives has been looking after Echo ever since he got out of that cursed cryo-chamber, watching every step his brother took with his new self, witnessing him paint the white armor black. He's always there, the echo of Echo's past.
Today, over a year after the Galaxy lost its freedom, Fives' once again running right behind Echo, his forever shadow that isn't.
But today he's not alone. Today, three more troopers are running alongside Fives, and they are all shouting for Echo to "show what the Dominos are made of!"

- Blinking slowly when he felt the mattress dip, Rex grunted as someone grabbed his ass.
- Fox raised his gaze when the door to the Guard Commander’s officers slid open and he saw Thorn step inside.
- The lartie’s doors opened, and Fives’ feet had barely touched the ground before he was sprinting across the camp.
- Hunter tensed when he heard slowly approaching steps.
- They still had at least six more hours in hyperspace so when Thorn’s bucket alerted him to a comm call from Fox, he gladly accepted it.
- When people first met Echo, they registered him as straightlaced as a clone trooper could be.
- When Hunter entered the Marauder’s cockpit he paused for a second to admire the hyperspace stretching before the spaceship like a seemingly endless and constantly shifting tunnel.
- Dismounting, Fox stared grimly at the grey clouds and the dancing snowflakes descending from the skies.
- Fox slammed the empty shot glass onto the table, grimacing for a second as the alcohol burned its way down his throat.
OK. So we've got 4 fics that have Fox (as main character or mentioned) in the first sentence, two with Hunter.
But otherwise? I see no pattern. Also, not tagging anyone since my brain doesn't work right now. ^^''
