Heatwave is the funniest character in the TF franchise because you know by heart he is the transformer with the strongest need to say fuck on a daily basis but he is also trapped in a cartoon for toddlers and that’s the the only thing stopping him from casually dropping “son of a bitch” over humans accidentally dropping food on his seat.

Doodles. I didn’t have much time to draw a good pic but I’m really want to practice myself so I use this “Lack of time” as a opportunity to improve myself. I set a timer at 30 min and draw every pic in my head.

(The thing was way too big for tumblr, had to cut it up, please view in full size) Happy 30th anniversary, Transformers!

School kept me from finishing this earlier (you know, when the anniversary actually happened), but I hope one or two of you like this little tribute anyway. Just some Autobots/Maximals from a few continuities. I’d like to draw some Decepticons/Predacons as well (but with pencil outlines, like I usually do, this was originally nothing more than a bit of digital sketching practice that got out of hand. I’m still not very good with this technique, so I’ll stick to pencils for now).

I can’t say much more, just this: I love this franchise, I love its characters and its world, I love it when it’s at its greatest and most emotional level and I love it when it’s absolutely stupid. It’s just great fun and great heartbreak sometimes, and I already fear the next MTMTE issue because it’s going to hurt. So good.

So please, Transformers, keep going for another 30 years and more!  We love you!
