The 90s - Ten Years That Changed the World: “Documentary charting the 1990s revolution in British music, fashion, film, sport, art and media, featuring a decade-defining soundtrack, unseen archive and candid interviews”.
Last year Channel 4 aired a docu about the 90′s in Britain. Here’s an edited version where Blur show up.
“I photographed Blur in 1997, a year or two after their Britpop peak. The photograph was taken on the Regents Canal towpath in Islington. I’d just taken a series of photographs of them in nearby Holborn Studios and we took advantage of the sunshine to shoot a few photos outside as well. I found them polite but rather taciturn.” - Seminal subculture photographer Derek Ridgers shares the untold stories behind his imagery See more > https://goo.gl/xulVFe

“Blur man Damon Albarn, pictured at left, took what one can only assume was an industrial strength cocktail of Jägermeister and MDMA before awarding Mike Smith, who is now MD of Warner/ChappellU.K.”

Gorillaz swinging into action
GORILLAZ are ready to make their grand comeback after a five-year absence – and music ADELE rejected could feature.
DAMON ALBARN has finished the band’s long-awaited new album and hinted tunes he wrote for her before their partnership turned sour may play a part.
In an exclusive chat, he said the record would be out “soon” and added: “Of course, we’ll be touring and doing festivals. I have spent the summer in the Atacama Desert in Chile, recording in Jamaica then down in Devon.”
Asked what he plans to do with the leftover music from his sessions with Adele, Damon said: “I never waste anything.”
I revealed they fell out after teaming up to write for her album, 25. He called it “middle of the road” and she told of her “regret” at involving him.
When quizzed about their row now the dust has settled, Damon wasn’t interested in getting back into the feud.
He said: “It’s not really important. None of that matters.”
Gorillaz fans will be pleased to hear their return is imminent.
Adele, on the other hand, won’t be listening in.
