I know it is futile to try to approach anything right-wing with logic or reason, but I do hope that, if this "male loneliness epidemic" continues, we see conflicts between some different far-right factions start to manifest. Like it is an undeniable fact that with every passing year, fewer people in the United States consider themselves to be religious, despite the drastic over representation of evangelicals in governing positions.
And it is also an undeniable fact that many of the ideals Christianity/evangelicals espouse are in direct conflict with those of the alpha bro movement. There is nothing more gay and beta than subscribing to a faith that demands you literally submit to a higher power, selflessly devoting yourself to a god who is a dude btw. I genuinely think, if this isn't already happening, these alpha bros are just a few year away from starting to fuck each other as some spartan masculinity ritual, while obviously still becoming more homophobic. But I'm just so curious to see the end game of these completely opposing ideologies.
Being realistic, Christians twist any hateful shit they come across to fit within their belief system, so I don't actually think something like this will be as big of an issue as I hope it does. But can you fucking imagine a Get Z far-right incel US Representative from California duking it out with a Boomer Baptist from Tennessee in a committee hearing over whether we should require school children to devote their lives to Jesus in elementary school?
