DMAIC is a data-driven quality strategy used to improve procedures.
1) Define the knot.
2) Measure process handling.
3) Analyze the process to set root causes of modification and poor performance.
4) Improve procedure performance by addressing and eliminating the foundation causes.
5) Control the improved procedure and future process execution.
* 5S
The term 5S comes from five Japanese words:
- Seiri Sort
- Seiton Set in order
- Seiso Shine
- Seiketsu Standardize
- Shitsuke Sustain
When safety is included, the system is often called 6S
* Poka-Yoke
Japanese term which means guilt proofing.
A poka-yoke device is one that protects incorrect parts from being made or consolidated or easily identifies a scar or error.
