Why is Reading Important?

1) Reading is essential to dialing in today’s society. 

  • Example:   We have to understand the instructions on a medicine bottle and we also have to fill out applications. etc.  

2) Reading is significant because it develops your mind.

  • Understanding the written word is one way the mind grows in its capacity because it needs exercise. 
  • Reading can help to develop language skills.    It also helps with listening skills.
  • Reading helps children (and adults) focal point on what someone else is communicating.

3) Reading is a paramount skill in finding a great job, isn’t it?

  • Reading is a part of job performance.  There are many reports and memos which must be read and responded to.   It is impossible to be well managed with poor reading skills.  

4)  Reading is the principal way to take advantage. 

  • A person who knows how to read can educate themselves in any compass of life they are interested in because reading is the principal way to take advantage of it.

5) Reading can develop fantasy. 

  • With reading, a person can go anywhere in the world…or even out of it! They can be a princess, or an adventurer, or a king, or… The possibilities are endless. Non-readers never ever experience this gladness to the same scope.
