honestly the tos mirrorverse uniforms went so hard... the golden sashes. the crop tops. the knee/thigh high boots. sulu had a knife tucked in his belt. kirk's shiny gold wrap around shirt. all the gold accessories, like uhura's earrings and armlet... just the perfect combination of danger and decadence. iconic.

spock often visits the botany section (they keep it slightly warmer than the rest of the ship) and one day he’s there at the same time as sulu is and he sees sulu tending to some flowers and spocks like “green carnations?” and sulus like “yes, a project of my own” and spock just nods and they stand there in a moment of gay nerd solidarity

hikaru lets spock take some back to his quarters to see if he can grow them there and spock succeeds in getting them to grow and jim obviously eventually sees them (during a chess game) and compliments them so spock asks if he wants one (because he knows jim likes flowers) and jim obviously accepts so spock assumes that jims gonna take it back to his quarters and put it in a vase of water but jim straight up pins it to his uniform shirt and spock is like !!!!!! because he doesn’t know if jim knows and if jim doesn’t know he doesn’t know if he should tell him or not and it’s not regulation anyway but jims the captain and definitely knows that already

and anyway hikaru sees jim walking around with the green carnation pinned on his uniform and he KNOWS that he didn’t give any to him so it must’ve been spock so he goes up to spock all like “hmm. so the captain, huh?” and spock gives him an absolutely venomous look and says “mr sulu i know for a fact you are growing multiple species against regulation.” as a threat and hikaru’s like “don’t worry, sir. i won’t tell anyone” and gives spock a wink and then walks off

do you think someone walks into sulus quarters and sees all his antique weapons and is like “ok. so do you just collect these. or is this a sex thing” and sulus just like ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
