Unpopular K-pop Opinions

Neverlands need to face the fact that Gidle is basically over. The girls have opened up individual instagrams and Yuqi is going solo. Plus Cube is debuting a new girl group too. It just doesn’t look good for the girls.

There's video on youtube by ReviewHallyu called "How K-Pop Twitter Tried Sabotaging (G)I-DLE: K-Pop Stans Need to Learn from This" that I think is really informative on how much of the hate (G)I-DLE gets is based largely on the spread of misinformation. (G)I-DLE really is one of Stan Twitter's scape-goats and don't comment disagreeing with this opinion unless you've watched the video first...

Look, g idle is one of my favorite groups. League of Legends is also one of my favorite games. And I really like most of KDA songs, but Miyeon and Soyeon sound unlistenable in them. Miyeon sounds ridiculously nasally (when she’s actually an incredible singer), and the raps Soyeon gets are just,,, awful.

SM should have given the SuperM treatment to the “Wow Thing” unit (Seulgi, SinB, Chungha and Soyeon) and give them at least an EP.

From what we've seen in songs and performances, Shuhua's vocal range is really wide indeed; She can sing from E3 (In LION)- which is very low for an average women- to D5 (In FIRE)- which is impressive since she can reach D5 using her head voice- without exerting too much effort. IF she became fluent in Korean, TRAINING herself to use her voice properly and to become stable while using it, I think that she has the potential to defeat the current vocalists of (G)I-DLE and some other groups.

Is it just me that think Cignature’s Semi looks a bit like (G)i-dle’s Minnie?

dumdi dumdi sounds like a b-side track idk how to explain its just kinda weak for a title in my opinion especially for a gidle title track

I actually prefer cute Soojin to sexy Soojin. She looks so lovely in Dumdi Dumdi!

It’s weird to me how whenever someone says they’re unhappy with the amount of lines Shuhua gets fans bring up no SHES happy with the lines she gets!! She says it’s because she’s not fluent in Korean!! She wants to not sing!! As though that wasn’t said a long time ago and also as though she’d be able to say something different? How is she supposed to be outwardly unhappy with what she gets when another member is the principle songwriter. It would make them both look bad if she complained

There are female singers whose voices are truly unique (Park Bom and Taeyeon, for instance), but I disagree with those who say Rosé and Minnie have “unique” voices. Even if their voices are distinct, unique means one of a kind, and there are multiple singers, K-pop or not, who sing with similar (forced) indie girl styles as them.

Aisha sometimes reminds me of (G)I-DLE’s Soojin.

Gidle’s Dumdi Dumdi was so good. I fell in love with it from the first listen!

I really enjoy gidle songs, but i have to be honest and say i really dont trust soyeon's process of doing everything herself, with the member's opinions here and there. As a result, a lot of people are unhappy with the line distributions, screen time and dont get me started on the whole 'culture appropiation' argument. I know she's artistic, but i do believe that she's at the beginning of her career and that she should get more guidance, along with the other members.

shuhua is a good artist, just some people around her don't let her shine but i don't think she deserves the harsh words some of you give her
