1. You’re correct in assuming Horrorshift is a post-neutral run story shift

2.The Neutral run in question left Papyrus and some ruins monsters dead, and Sans, knowing that Papyrus was dead, didn’t spare Frisk which led to his death.

3.I was never a HUGE fan of the concept of Horrortale in which Undyne takes over and that’s why everything is so totalitarian so instead of having Toriel take over after the death of the king, in this Timeline, Frisk had attempted themselves to run the Underground in a peaceful way assuring that no humans would fall down anymore, but the general population of the Underground was LESS THAN THRILLED. Despite Toriel’s attempts to keep the peace it led to a rebellion that Frisk single-handedly wiped out, became corrupted by LOVE and the fact they now had power and then subsequently everything just went way downhill from there. So rip the good child their intentiosn were good but once they got in way over thier head everything just went haywire.

4. Asriel is part of the small human division of the rebellion against the Overlord, SOUL, being that him and Chara soulbound (more on that in a second) and Chara is the leader of that human division.

4. The other Dreemurs:

Toriel: 

Heading the Monster Forces against the Human Overlord. She has long since lost Sympathy for the human and now just plots for their immediate downfall due to the state of the underground and all that’s happened to the people living in the world.

Asriel:

 Has taken half of Chara’s Soul and bonded it to himself. Due to this, Chara is able to take inhuman amounts of Physical abuse, starvation, illness, and persistently hangs onto the edge of death; because they’ve esentially made a horcrux out of their own freaking brother. As long as Asriel’s Alive, Chara’s not going to die.

Asgore:

Works for the Overload because he fears for his own life, however still secretly vies for thier overthrow. Sabatoges machines constantly to allow things to be easier for the resistence movement, but is calculating and sneaky about it, and due to the Overlord’s pushover-ish nature, they forgive him if he simply explains himself. Consumes himself in his work to distract himself from the persistent guilt his has regarding his own cowardness, as well as the guilt he has regarding the fate of his daughter, who was reprogrammed by some scientists under the Overlord’s command to be esentially a mindless military machine, rather than the professional robotic wrestler they once loved to be.

All of this juxtoposed by the chip implanted in his brain that will turn him into a killing machine if activated. He has not figured out how to remove it but it can be permanently deactivated by a strong enough bolt of electricity. When it happens Asgore black out but is horrified by the atrocities he commits when it’s on.

5. All the Dreemurs care about each other; but Toriel is very very upset with Asgore, unaware of his efforts to sabatoge the Overlord. Even still she cares about his life and would not harm him. Chara fell 3 years ago and at this post Asgore was already astranged from the other two; but Asgore cares about All human children and would not harm one if he could help it. 

6. Chara lives on thier own with Asriel in Snowdin Forest, though Toriel knows the location and will often drop by to check up on them under the guise of “exchanging information between the two divisions”. Toriel cares about them very much and just wishes all of this madness would end. Chara is a stoic child who dosn’t emote much and is emotionally stunted due to having only half a useable soul but they very much wish that they could just live with her in peace with Asriel.

7. Chara has not been eaten because they have an axe, a resting b**** face, and a permanent “do not f*** with me” attitude and generally monsters know that humans are very very dangerous and that this one has just been Very Good at living so far and do not want to find out why
