btw for all seeing my dreamwidth posts here, I’m stopping that autocrossposting. I’m on pillowfort and dreamwidth as unicornduke.

I saw two dogs on my way into work. One was sticking it's head out the back window of a truck and was very cute. The other was a brindle pitty wearing a coat! So cute! comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2I5YHyJ

Skating in the new skates wasn't bad. It was incredibly different than the rental skates which are either not sharpened or sharpened differently than the way the store guy did it because I was sliding all over. It was slipping sideways when I would push off so I'm guessing he put more of an edge on it, which is helpful only if you are already good at skating. I did get used to it and it actually helped after a little bit, I was much more stable and consistent with things I also can now pretty consistently do left turning crossovers although some can be a little choppy and weird. I waited towards the end so most people cleared out to loop to the right in the middle of the rink to try right crossovers. Meh. I can do them but not gracefully or consistently. Increased my skating backward distance to the length of the rink! I still cannot stop. I did leave ten minutes early because either my sock or the constant left turns were causing issues because my left arch started pinching a little and I was afraid it was a blister. It wasn't and I hopped back on the ice for a bit but it came back. I also didn't really stretch after, mainly because I end up cold and I'm not sure how much help the stretching will be. I stretched a little while the zamboni was going halfway through. But my thighs and hips are cold the whole time I'm skating although I am sweating a little bit. I'm going to try and make it to the other rink on wednesday for skating. We shall see comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2Ds6lxZ

I've hit the point in laying out my field this year where I'm super worried about how much I'm trying to do. Is it too much? Should I not do so much? I'm not even at the farm full time. ugh comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2N0nqmS

ending up buying bread for lunch this week. I don't feel like baking. Canyon bakehouse is the best gluten free bread I've had. but it meant I can make grilled cheese for lunch so I did that with the sharp cheddar I've got and the stamen winesap apples which are super duper good, and even good cooked on grilled cheese. Slightly difficult to eat and I scraped the bottom of my mouth just under my teeth but it was delicious comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2GkM8hj

Today's to do is very short hardware store ice skating and probably grocery store but I don't feel like it since i don't know what I'm making for food this week. I haven't had much of an appetite again so I think I'm going with taco stuff, which I always love. I'll have to figure something out for lunch too. Maybe cornbread? so that's on the list to do. I'll head to the hardware store in about an hour so I can really start figuring out this laser scarecrow. comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2ULPnBy

I finally found an ice rink with weekday evening hours!!!! None of the other rinks I've looked at had weekday evenings, only weekdays around lunch or early afternoon or weekends. Skating during the week! And it's even late evening which I really like, 7 to 9pm. It's actually late enough that I shouldn't hit much traffic heading into Albany and it's well after dog care time and dinner. Plus it's only $1 to skate if I have my own skates. ONE DOLLAR one dollar 1 (one) I'm super pumped. This will be a great fill in until my skating lessons start at the end of Feb which is 2.5 weeks away. ...... comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2Sm6RI7

I have a nearly completed blanket made of super bulky yarn since I was trying to use up a lot of yarn and it worked! I've used ten skeins or something. But I was watching a tv show and working on it and when the show finished I laid it over my belly and that combined with the food is making me super duper sleepy my bed is so far and also has seeds on it because I was sorting my collection earlier. . hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2I2Nuip

I'm debating on what I want to do today. I think I'm going to skip the farmers market, I can't think of much I need from there. I'm going to goodwill when it opens to get some stuff. And the post office to drop off seeds. But after that, the only set thing on my calendar is to watch the NWHL all star skills competition tonight at 6. I could go find a public skate. I also could go to the college game at 3. I could do neither of these and just lump around all day. I had so much fun at last night's game, so I should probably just go to that. Plus I'm going to a public skate tomorrow that's the nice rink (they have a public skate today but it runs 4 to 615 and it won't work timing wise with walking my dog and watching the all star game) and I don't want to overdo the skating. I know better. So. I'm probably going to lay around for a while, then go to goodwill, then lay around for a while and then go to the hockey game. comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2thXl9P

I went to the sports store this afternoon and I dug through their used stuff. Unfortunately I didn't find anything used in my size but I did find a new pair that were $60 which was cheaper than I was expecting for a nice new pair. So I got them and since they were new, they sharpened them for me right in the shop. (they also had a good selection of used goalie gear for consideration later) the dude who went to sharpen my skates came back out after sharpening and was looking for me. I was sitting off to the side in some of the racks while I waited. He came back out and said, "hey where's the person for the skates. was it a dude or a lady?" which is something that always always makes me laugh. And then made eye contact with me as I hopped up. I don't think he ever figured it out but I laughed a lot in the truck about it. I also needed skate guards but I didn't buy them because I have all these canvas pants I can't use anymore. I would repair them but all the holes are in the crotch and I can't repair them well enough to keep them from ripping at the crotch even more. But now, I cut the legs off and I'm using those as skate guards for now. So now I have funny wraps for my skates and canvas jorts with a giant hole in the crotch. comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2WM1fp6
dreamwidth update: Queering the Map
sprimary over on pillowfort linked to Queering the Map Queering the Map is a community-generated mapping project that geo-locates queer moments, memories and histories in relation to physical space. As queer life becomes increasingly less centered around specific neighborhoods and the buildings within them, notions of ‘queer spaces’ become more abstract and less tied to concrete geographical locations. The intent of the Queering the Map project is to collectively document the spaces that hold queer memory, from park benches to parking garages, to mark moments of queerness wherever they occur. comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2GgoLpm

dreamwidth update: Doing shit today
I sent one important email this morning re:company sidejob. I got the seeds ready for the person who actually managed to get me their address (sidenote: apparently seed swap people have no sense of stranger danger because we just give each other our addresses and somehow it seems like a bad idea because maybe someone is faking being a grandma but no one faking would really spell that badly or use so little punctuation that I couldn't comprehend if they were talking about green beans or purple peas but who cares! there are seeds!) and I've got to package that at the post office and send it away with the ebay books. I also sent an email part work part personal to a friend/farmer (B's sister) about a pesticide applicator course she was asking about along with the transplants they might be growing for me if they have enough room. I'm also doing actual work stuff, this morning we went up to a farm to pick up sweet potatoes from their variety trial for taste testing :) I'm also going through paperwork yay I've got some data entry to do still. After work, I'm driving to nearby town to find the used sports place for skates and then going through the grocery store because Jade is sick with a cold and needs more tissues. No seed swap tonight just because it seems dumb. I just got more seeds in the mail and a bunch more on the way with the trades I just got around to last night so ehhh, I don't need more. For now. comments Comment? http://bit.ly/2GeEIfx
