It bears noting that this was a sketchbook pinup that Mike did in the early 2000s. The costumes and the backgrounds are a combination of Danny Miki’s Inks and Finishes, and Peter Steigerwald’s Colors and Finishes. It’s hard to say who did what on each piece, but I’ll add Mike’s pencils to this post here in a second.

At the Aspen MLT booth in the mid 2000s, Mike was never alone. Peter Steigerwald was right next to him the whole time. They were dear, dear friends.

Okay, I got Terry Dodson doing Black Widow (I think), Frank Cho for Iron Man, but I can’t decipher the signature on Spidey.

The post from whence the image came did not give details. This is actually the back side of another, unfinished piece by Frank Cho. Again, no details.

Spider-Man is by Erik Larsen.

The unfinished page looks like an abandoned version of a splash from his arc on Hulk with Jeph Loeb. The one where all the women warriors team up to fight the Red Hulk.
